With Mobility Radeon HD5870 graphics for under £900, this 17in gaming laptop offers exceptional value!

MSI provides an awesome specification at an awesome price in an outdated chassis. If you're willing to put up with its somewhat garish looks, terrible battery life and a few other foibles, nothing for even close to the same money can touch this GX740...

Its bold red interior and retro-futuristic design let you know immediately that the MSI GX740 is a gaming machin, and a mighty powerful one at that.

The MSI GX740 laptop offers very good build quality, fantastic gaming performance and a good sound system. However, it’s a shame that its internal Blu-ray drive isn’t backed up by a full-HD screen.

good desktop replacement, can run almost anything

the 7200rpm HDD doesn't work very well, read/write still slow ; the speaker doesn't work the way it's supposed to, it's 4+1 woofer but only 2 of them work, driver issue
