Is bringing multitouch trackpads to netbooks a worthy gesture?

Good mobility ; Great connectivity ; Great screen

Multitouch trackpad doesn't really work

A great netbook with a fantastic screen and impressive performance, despite a few flaws, such as the multi-touch pad

Packard Bell dot m/a notebook

It is with some trepidation that we embark on this review of the Packard Bell dot m/a, given it's proximity to the Acer Aspire One 751, to which this model owes Overall we were surprised by the Packard Bell dot m/a. As an overall package including the...

Screen resolution, software bundle, 3G modem option

Keyboard not great, battery life, screen reflection (for mobile use)

Overall we were surprised by the Packard Bell dot m/a. As an overall package including the 3G modem, this works relatively well as a portable device, accepting that the screen is prone to glare and the keyboard is a little sloppy. The software bundle...

Packard Bell dot m/a review

Do you enjoy attracting attention to yourself? Or maybe ‘simply choose an energetic life'? If so, Packard Bell's marketing department would like to interest you in the dot m/a, the all-lower-case monikered new netbook with 11.6in screen.

Breaking away from the pack, the Packard Bell dot m/a has a bigger screen and a potentially faster processor, not to mention a graphics chip that can handle simple games if you drop the quality settings. A generous battery pack is always welcome,...

Too big to be a netbook, not powerful enough to be a proper laptop, the dot m/a is something else. Something really quite good...

It's not perfect, but an unusual size and spec make it king of a category above its netbook originals

Packard Bell - dot m/a UK020

The line between netbooks and laptops continues to blur, with screen sizes from 9-inch up to 15-inch in the mix and performance specifications with a similarly wide range. Packard Bell sees its dot s and dot ...

This is a great little machine, though more a small notebook than an oversized netbook. Vista doesn't hold it back much and the extra memory and strong ATI graphics help with this. However, if you can afford the six-cell battery, go for it, or stay...

Packard Bell dot m/a netbook

A fine machine with 2GB of memory, a high-res screen, a fast CPU and Vista Premium, all let down by the hopeless, standard-fit, three-cell battery.

In its basic form, the dot m/a is let down badly by its farcically poor battery life but if you can lay hands on one with the six-cell battery for a reasonable price then you will have a very nice machine and one that represents decent value for money....

Packard Bell dot m/a

The Packard Bell dot m/a is an 11.6-inch netbook powered by an AMD Athlon chip ticking along at 1.2GHz. Windows Vista Home Basic (soon to be Windows 7) and runs on a generous 2GB of RAM. There's also a 160-320GB hard drive for storage, a 5-in-1 card...

This sheep in sheep’s clothing is a long way from the encapsulated gorgeousness of, say, the touchscreen Asus eee PC T91. But if you’re after an affordable, lightweight PC for work rather than play, this Packard Bell just about dots the is. Packard...

Packard Bell DOT MA 020 160GB

I've had this lap top forthree months and had no problems at all. Great interent access and speed. Would definately reccommend, apart from the battery, which seems to be two hours maximum, so not good if you need it out and about.

Battery life is two hours max, would get ten out of ten if this was a lot more.
