Packard Bell EasyNote XS20

The Packard Bell EasyNote XS20 ships with a full-fat copy of Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition. General usage feels a little sluggish, with the hard-drive being the main culprit

Slow as hell. I have seen glaciers move faster. My amstrad in the 80's was faster. Also mouse pad very small and not easy to use.

Size, portability.

Run very hot, therefore likely to be unreliable. Also run very slow.

The battery is extremely good, and the extended "legs" below the screen which make space for the battery actually do a good job of raising the screen to a more natural eye level.

The processor is slightly underpowered for it to run windows XP well, and especially if it is going to be used as a web-book, it needs little bit more grunt.

Just great all round - exactly what I wanted!
