No longer usable

People have been asking me recently about what brand laptop they should buy. I don't know what the best brand is, but I tell them not to choose Samsung as it sucks horribly. Also, why is there a Toshiba hard drive in my Samsung laptop? Why is there not...

Was relatively cheap (under $500) when I purchased it mid-2014.

-Integrated graphics card -Low resolution -Came with Windows 8 instead of 7 -When installed Windows 10, Samsung messages to update drivers to Windows 10 compatible drivers were in Korean instead of English -Sometimes when I would shutdown, the power...

Complete Garbage

I didn't purchase my ATIV Book 2 from Newegg (I got it through school), but it has to be one of the worst laptops I have ever owned I have had issues with everything from wireless connectivity to the system running sluggish all the time (it's not...

Windows 8.1 (while most people hate Windows 8's MetroUI, I don't really mind it, Windows 8.1 itself seems pretty stable) 1TB HDD 8GB RAM

HDD vs. SSD (while the 1TB HDD is nice storage wise, HDDs are inherently PAINFULLY slow, I really wouldn't mind losing storage capacity for a MUCH faster SSD) Unstable hardware Intel i5 (I haven't had much luck with Intel's i series CPUs except for i7,...

Great laptop

I have really enjoyed this laptop after my initial concern with learning to manage windows 8.1. With its large amount of memory and space it does more than what I need it to without slowing down.

Numeric keyboard. It successfully plays all of my high-usage games and videos. HDMI port, connects well with the television. Great price when on sale this last June

No caps lock or num lock light. 3 rather than 4 USB ports.

Nice labtop for the price

If this labtop hits ur price point and the con i pointed out doesnt bother u, buy it :) If your like me and agree with my cons the i would recommend go for another product.

The price i got it for was worth it, its got all the up-to-date tech for a low cost. good brand name. I got this for my parents, who arent that big into the tech world, so the speeds and power consumption are perfect for them.

one con, i think this is a VERY VERY bad thing. The labtop doesnt have a light to tell you if caps lock or num lock are on, also everytime on boot up the num lock has to be reactivated. This is a big deal for me.

Do Not Buy

Nice specs for the price

Horrible wifi connectivity Constantly drops wifi even though just a few feet from my router. Due to this issue, I would not recommend buying this laptop until Samsung fixes the drivers

I am satisfied

Good price. I paid ~$500 with instant discount ; It does what it is supposed to do. I used to have an IBM laptop with windows vista. It took 10~15min to turn on even from the beginning. I changed hard drive to SSD and it starts up faster but still...

windows 8. It would be nice if Samsung gives you an option like some other companies

Slow and Annoying

I thought I was getting a steal. i5 chip and large hard drive for under $500. Guess you get what you pay for. My brother warned me about Samsung's laptops, next time I'll listen.

Price ($479) and Hard drive size (1TB)

Slow boot - 5 minute + Slow restart. Downloads freeze, web pages freeze.
