Toshiba Satellite T235-S1345

The Toshiba Satellite T235-S1345 is a lightweight ultraportable notebook with a good screen and an attractive, shiny red cover. Our review model, priced at $600, features an AMD Turion II Dual-Core K625 Processor, a 320GB hard drive, an ATI Mobility...

Great HD video playback ; Superlight and sturdy

Audio is tinny and flat ; Keys are small and slippery

This is a good notebook for multimedia watchers on the go, but not for heavy typers.

Toshiba Satellite T235-S1350

What it lacks in raw horsepower, the T235-S1350 makes up for in battery life—a hallmark of CULV laptops. It also helps that Toshiba threw in a big 61WH (6-cell) battery. The laptop's 8 hour 16 minute battery score on MobileMark 2007 edged out the MSI...

Very aggressively priced. Exquisitely thin and lightweight. White design is vibrant. Excellent battery life. HDMI and eSATA included. Excellent keyboard. Wide touchpad

Pentium processor is not best of breed

The Toshiba Satellite T235-S1350 CULV-equipped laptop is sensitive to both your computing needs and bank account.

Toshiba Satellite T235 Review

There seems to be a flood of budget-priced 13-inch laptops on the market today as consumers try to find the perfect balance of portability, performance and price. We took a closer look at the AMD-based Satellite T235D to find out whether this laptop...

Good performance ; Thin and light ; Low cost

Cheap, mirror-like finish ; Too much bloatware ; No USB 3.0 ; An affordable thin and light notebook with solid AMD processor performance.

Toshiba Satellite T235-S1370

Considering the plethora of pre-installed software and excellent customer support, the Toshiba T235-S1370 is great for users who want a trusted-brand notebook. Unfortunately, it seems to lack many features that the majority of users find important, so...

Toshiba T235-S1345 AMD Turion II Notebook Review - Entering the Nile

Earlier this year AMD released big news: 135 new design wins with major manufacturers including Acer, ASUS, Dell HP, Lenovo, Toshiba and more. These victories are a badly needed boost for AMD, which has been trailing Intel in the mobile space for...

Great, Works w/ Linux 2.6.35+

After trying a ton of different distributions and custom kernels, I eventually landed with Fedora 14 on this. The only problem with the default install was the wireless, but after downloading the rtl8192se driver off the Realtek website and compiling...

Plenty fast for my usage, long battery life, relatively thin, light weight, nice keyboard, good touchpad for the money, better screen than most in this price range, comfortable and solid keyboard, built well, and looks more expensive than it is

The hardware is too new to use with all but the most recent of Linux kernels. FreeBSD works fine, but the inability to run Flash natively is a deal-breaker. Either way, no points are being taken off for this because they're not officially supported...

Well-made computer, excellent value

This laptop is probably one of the best in its class on the market today. The body is solid and the textured surface of the palm rest, combined with the top-notch keyboard makes typing a pleasure. The performance is great, and running multiple programs...

This keyboard is brilliant: totally solid, chiclet style keys, good feedback (though might be a little stiff for some), and no give while typing. I also like the full-length right shift key (which sometimes gets shortened to fit the arrow pad). The...

On the downside, the lid is an absolute fingerprint magnet. The speakers aren't great, though I wasn't expecting much from them in the first place, being located on the underside. The screen is a bit too glossy, especially in high light

Doesn't deliver

This would be a good laptop if it weren't for the crazy loud drive noise and the underpowered graphics. Can't recommend it. Wish I'd got the 13" mac.

Light, good keyboard, works well with Windows 7. Not too much bloatware. Didn't really have to do much to optimize it. SD card slot. HDMI output (see below)

There's a terrible whining noise from the hard-disk whenever it's on. Literally like a dentist's drill. Makes it very hard to watch video on the laptop itself over the noise. I bought this planning to use it to stream online video to my TV via the HDMI...
