The laptop, at least for me, gets pretty loud after I use programs like Photoshop for a while. The touch pad is definitely not the best, and sometimes I struggle to use the laptop without a mouse, but it's still usable.

I picked this up for my little sister before she goes off to school, set it up and cleaned out the minimal bloatware from dell and it runs like a charm. great back-lit keyboard as well

the touch pad could be a bit better but not bad enough to take an egg off it works fine.

Nice laptop for the money. More than most people need unless you're encoding a lot of HD video or playing high end games. I mostly use this for productivity and a few older games.

Only negative for me is not getting an optical drive, most of my software and backups are on cd or dvd. Just know you're going to need digital copies of your software or an external drive.
