Strong and solid for 2 years, tons of storage

Carried daily for 2 years. Showing no wear at all. Usually full of paperwork and my Thinkpad W500, so not lightly loaded. I don't yank the straps too much or toss it around, but it's very heavily reinforced at all the stress points. Recommended for...

Very durable straps and seams (but I don't really abuse it), versatile pockets and loading. Mesh side pockets are easy to access while wearing the pack. Mostly waterproof (even in pretty heavy rain but not fully waterproof). Good padding and shape make...

Nothing major, it could be more rigid, but it's a soft pack with no framing at all

Suprisingly Good Value

Looks like it is going to hold up well. Good quality, good price. Plenty of pockets to squirrel things away.

Roomier than it looks. My Pavilion DV7t 17" fits like a glove. Plenty of room for all the "necessities". Very comfortable. Looking forward to give it a test run on the commute

Only one mesh side pocket. I would have preferred them on both sides - one for a water bottle, one for my umbrella

Right size, good construction

In case anyone else suspected, this IS the exact same backpack as the HP RU350AA, on Newegg for $59.99. The plastic bag it was in said GN072AA, but the tag on the pack read RU350AA. So snag this rebate while it lasts.

I have an HP Pavilion dv7-1020us 17" laptop, and go figure, it fits perfectly in the back pouch. If your like me an you wanted a quality pack for your 17" laptop without having a huge pack (like some of the Swiss Gear packs), this would be it. Good...

If you have a no-HP 17" laptop, I would highly recommend comparing its dimensions to the Pavilion dv7. Some of the Dells I've seen can be much thicker

Nice, but wrong advertisement

I would recommend the backpack for someone with a 15.4" laptop, however for a 17" I would reconsider.

Very nice backpack, well constructed

Backpack does not hold most 17" notebooks, make sure you compare your notebook specs to the backpack specs. The notebook capacity is approximately 1-2" smaller than the backpack dimensions

Great Backpack

I looked into buying many different back packs and this was the best one I found. Did I mention the many pockets are great to keep you organized.

There are a lot of different storage pockets which make carrying my laptop, camera, books and all the other stuff I have easy. The padded notebook area has saved my notebook from many drops

The backpack its self does weigh a bit and I don't use the waist strap

Durable and lasts

I bought this back from a retail shop in January of 2003. It's been around the world with me. I am glad they are still producing this model! Due to age, the zipper is now getting stuck. Hence my search to replace it.

Many pockets. Fits most laptops including my 19" Macbook Pro. Great Design

None that I could find

Excellent bag... For a while...

I received this bag this Crhistmas (2012) as a gift from my girlfriend to replace my messenger bag that just didnt have the room to carry everything I need on a daily basis. This bag is absolutely huge on the inside. It holds my Laptop, Tablet, all of...

very roomy., padding to protect devices., padded shoulder straps

broke after less than 2 months., warranty replacement is inconvenient

I don't think I will ever need another backpack

I have had this backpack now for 6 years, and nothing is even close to breaking or wearing out. This backpack has carried all of my books for school from my freshman year of highshool to, my secend year of college, and it is still like new. The only...

durability, quality

not water proof

Targus Groove Backpack for notebooks up to 15.4"

I guess I can agree with the comment about the earphone hole, but I've never even thought to use this backpack for listening to my ipod. I have had this backpack since 2004 and love it! The only problem I've had is one of the zipper tabs came off last...
