A simply outstanding corporate laptop with power, comfort and quality

Great battery life ; Excellent keyboard ; Good performance

Standard TFT screen ; Weak 3D performance

Toshiba Tecra M10-10H notebook

Toshiba's Tecra range is aimed firmly at corporate users, with machines offering great usability and build quality. The Tecra M10-10H fits perfectly into the role of business workhorse, also offering useful performance and a great keyboard. The M10...

Excellent keyboard and interface, good quality and performance

Bulky, lacking desirability, average specification

The M10 doesn’t offer anything innovative, and has few standout features, but as an all-round package it’s a useful, well made and powerful business machine. It’s a shame the latest features - such as 3G/HSDPA - are omitted, but if all you need is a...

Toshiba Tecra M10-10H - An attractive business laptop

Toshiba has created the Tecra with an eye on Lenovo and their Thinkpad series – which has always included popular office machines – by including a trackpoint (the little clown nose) as an alternative to the normal trackpad. It's also worth mentioning...

Compact ; Good processor ; Firewire og eSATA ; Trackpoint mouse control

Too many useless preinstalled programs ; Conservative design ; Poor graphics performance

The Tecra M10-10H is a sweet little business machine that absolutely has a lot of good features. The processor is powerful and can handle most tasks. It is equipped with fast RAM and it comes across as a frisky little business laptop. Though the design...

Toshiba Tecra M10 14in notebook

Odd retro looks, a bulky design and a below-par battery life take the shine off this business notebook's decent performance.

We can't fault the Tecra M10's performance, but with a relatively feeble battery pack and a look that's more Nineties than Noughties, this notebook failed to excite. Just the sort of thing to give to staffers who might otherwise get ideas above their...

Toshiba Tecra M10-1K1

Good selection of ports for connection of peripherals - even a serial port! Doesn't get hot. Doesn't take up too much desktop width for a reasonably large screen size. Fingerprint reader works well.

Quite heavy for size.

Toshiba Tecra M10-1H4

Manual wireless off button is good. Psuedo-Analogue volume control wheel is quite nice. "Real" DB9 style Serial port is nice; however it is recessed making it impossible to plug in moulded serial cables without an adaptor. Non-glossy screen does help...

Clunky, cheap and unfortunately mine until I can break it. When booted for the first time and running thru the brief windows setup, once you get to the desktop screen I had over 117 processes (running pieces of software/programs) - unsurprising around...
