Toshiba Portege M700-S7002 review: Toshiba Portege M700-S7002

Toshiba Portege M700-S7002

Great tablet design with a stable display and comfortable stylus; impressive performance; touch screen doesn't require stylus to navigate; sharp screen resolution; Webcam with handy light; price includes three-year warranty.

Pathetic battery life; slightly small keyboard and touch pad; lousy speakers; quick-launch buttons are not user-programmable.

But for its disappointing battery life, the Toshiba Portege M700 is an excellent hybrid of power laptop and well-designed tablet.

Toshiba PDR-M700 Digital Camera Camera

WHAT'S HOT: Toshiba's PDR-M700 joins the small faction of digital cameras equipped with a 10X optical zoom lens (the Olympus C-740, Olympus C-750, and Fujifilm FinePix S5000 are others). The long lens is especially useful in view of the camera's modest...

Toshiba PDR-M700 Camera Review - PCWorld

A long zoom lens and a big LCD make a very attractive combination, and the M700 is a fine camera overall; but the competing Olympus C-740--also equipped with a 10X zoom--is more sophisticated and offers nearly five times the battery life, for only $50...

First Looks: Toshiba Portege M700 Notebook

The Portege M700 is the latest incarnation of Toshiba's convertible notebook range. Packing more than a simple face lift however, the M700 has a trick or two up its sleeve. Read on.

The Toshiba Portégé M700 is a well balanced convertible with tablet functionality, business security and robust design. It is rather pricey however, with its S$3599 price tag (~US$2560), but we encourage you to try it out first-hand to better...

Toshiba Portege M700 Tablet PC Review

I first must comment on how lightweight the M700 feels. It's not the lightest tablet on the market, weighing in at 4.7lbs, but it is very comfortable to hold. I think the plain Jane design gives it the illusion of being lightweight and simple. However,...

Solid design and chassis ; LED backlight screen ; Locking hinge design ; Good battery life, especially with slice battery

Minimalistic design, some users may find boring ; Screen has bad viewing angles sometimes ; Too much bloatware

The M700 is a solid tablet. You get what you see with it. There isn't anything fancy, just a minimalistic design with all the necessities. The silver body protects a great LED backlight screen that has both a touchscreen and active digitizer and it...

Toshiba M700 Tablet PC First Thoughts Review

I first must comment on how lightweight the M700 feels. It's not the lightest tablet out there, but it is very comfortable to hold. However, if you get the optional slice battery, which I recommend because it adds much more battery life, it looses the...

The M700 is targeted toward the business market. It isn't packed with many entertainment features, but it has the necessities. There are three USB ports, IEEE 1394, PC Card slot, SD Card slot, monitor output port and more. The webcam is a nice touch...

Toshiba Portege M700 (PPM70A-0G301G)

A pocket rocket for those who can afford it

Excellent range of connectivity options, easily portable, 'Sleep and Charge' USB ports, good battery life

High cost, unattractive design

If you're a road warrior looking for an excellent unit that has the right balance of power and portability while offering all the latest connectivity, and you have enough money, then the Toshiba Portege M700 (PPM70A-0G301G) is worth considering.
