Qosmio X305-Q708

Even for a desktop replacement laptop--a category filled with oversize eye-grabbers like the HP HDX18 and the Alienware m17--Toshiba's Qosmio X350-Q708 is an extrovert. A flaming red beast of a machine, the X350-Q708 packs a lot of cutting-edge...

Impressive sound quality and power Wide variety of ports

Unique design makes for impractical use Low resolution screen for its class

Is the Toshiba Qosmio X305-Q708 worth buying? That's the $4200 question. In light of its unimpressive screen resolution and odd keyboard, you'll have to provide your own keyboard, monitor, and mouse if you plan on having a serious gaming session at...

Toshiba Qosmio X305-Q708 Laptop Review

Impressive sound quality and power ; Wide variety of ports

Unique design makes for impractical use ; Low resolution screen for its class

Toshiba's high-end Qosmio X305 has lots of style and even more power, but could use a more practical physical design.

Toshiba Qosmio X305-Q701 review: Toshiba Qosmio X305-Q701

Toshiba Qosmio X305-Q701

Inexpensive; unique lid design; amazing stereo sound; decent performance; light-touch media controls; HDMI and eSATA ports; charges USB devices, even when off.

Bulky; relatively low screen resolution; fixed configuration lacks Bluetooth and Blu-ray; lousy battery life.

We appreciate the 17-inch Qosmio X305-Q701's cool looks, low price, and great stereo sound, but just a little bit more cash can buy a laptop that's better for watching movies or gaming.

Toshiba Qosmio X305-Q725

If you're a closet gamer who hides behind a screen name and isn't the trash-talking type, the Toshiba Qosmio X305-Q725 ($2,699.99 direct) is probably not for you. Its outlandish design, which conjures up images of fiery balls of flames striking a...

Runs an Intel quad-core processor. Nvidia 9800M GTX graphics card is fierce. Integrates both spinning and solid-state drives. Fiery design. Excellent gaming scores

Resolution should have been higher at this price point. Could've put in a bigger battery

While the Toshiba Qosmio X305-Q725's fiery design may not appeal to everyone, its quad-core processor and an Nvidia GTX graphics card are parts that extreme gamers yearn for.

Toshiba Qosmio X305-Q725 Review

The Qosmio X305 is the flagship gaming notebook sold by Toshiba, with configurations including dual graphics cards, dual storage drives, and the latest Intel quad-core processors. With a stylish design and great surround sound speakers the Qosmio...

Best notebook sound system I have ever heard ; Quad-core processor and still gets almost 2 hours of battery life ; Impressive gaming performance ; Large body good for dissipating high heat loads

High price tag ; 17” notebook that is 2.5” thick in the rear ; Squeaky chassis

The Toshiba Qosmio X305 gaming notebook proved to be very capable in our testing but its steep price does raise a few eyebrows now that notebooks like the Gateway P-7811 FX are on the market for a fraction of the price. The overall size of the X305...

Toshiba Qosmio X305 Review

The Qosmio X305-Q708 is Toshiba's flagship gaming and multimedia notebook. This 17-inch monster has a flashy design, dual Nvidia video cards, and Intel's first mobile quad-core processor. Despite all the bells and whistles, is the X305-Q708 worth $4,200?

Toshiba Qosmio X305-Q706

Overall, if you want a stylish, powerful desktop replacement that is worth its price, then consider the Toshiba Qosmio X305-Q706. This laptop isn't perfect— it's intimidating in bulkiness and abstract color, but it's well-performing in graphics and...

Toshiba Qosmio X305

Normally, aesthetics are a secondary part of a notebook review, but Toshiba forces the issue with the Qosmio X305's wild design. Seriously, the lid's audacious three-tone, metallic-red paint job alone is enough to challenge the interest of a potential...

Beats dual-core rigs in multithreaded apps; 4.1 speakers rock

Gaudy aesthetic; unimpressive gaming; piss-poor battery life

While the X305’s application performance is certainly commendable, its outrageous looks, lackluster gaming performance, and paltry battery life (one hour, eight minutes on power-saving mode) should consider its cons before making a purchase.
