Toshiba CB35-A3120 Chromebook

The Toshiba CB35-A3120 Chromebook is a full-sized Chromebook that may be good enough to replace your old Windows or Mac laptop.

Larger screen than other Chromebooks. Nice design. Good boot times and battery life from Haswell-based processor. Desktop-class browser.

Display shows screen-door effect. No touch screen. No 3G/4G/LTE option.

The Toshiba CB35-A3120 Chromebook is a good choice for the general user who wants to give Chrome OS a try. If you have constant Internet access, the system can replace an aging Windows or Mac laptop easily. Its larger screen may be easier on the eyes...

It's not too small, it's not too pricey, and it lasts a good, long time. This is a Chromebook a lot of people could like.

Long battery life ; USB 3.0 ports ; Decent-sized display

Display feels a little bendy ; Video playback is just adequate

The Toshiba CB35-A3120 Chromebook is one of the few Chromebooks worth recommending. It hits a sweet spot with its good-sized display, long battery life, and compact design.

Toshiba Chromebook

There's a lot to like about Toshiba's first Chromebook

Spacious and comfortable keyboard, Quick boot-up times, Good battery life, Plenty of connectivity

Unresponsive trackpad, High profile apps missing from Chrome Store, No 3G or 4G connectivity option

Toshiba CB35-A3120 Chromebook

The Toshiba CB35-A3120 Chromebook can act as the primary computer of a home user or student, particularly if you have near-constant access to Wi-Fi. Close to the top choice, the 13-inch CB35-A3120 Chromebook comes highly recommended.

Great alternative to a Microsoft laptop or tablet

I love being free from Microsoft and all their stupid OS upgrades, patches, malware and virsuses.

This Chromebook has a beautiful display, is lite weight and compact. The keyboard is very responsive and the battery life lasts a very long time on a single charge. A great value for $300.

I occasionally have an issue connecting to the WIFI at my gym with this device. I get a "Network is out of range" error. Sometimes it works... sometimes it doesn't. Not sure why. My Laptop and Android device never have this problem with the gyms WIFI.

nice CB, but lacks good mail app

I have yet to install Linux using crouton. Supposedly one can run Linux in a Chrome window with no need to switch back and forth between Linux and Chrome-OS. That would be sweet, and also solve the e-mail issue.

* light * good battery (~9h) * very good screen * nice and responsive trackpad * quite sturdy case, good keyboard * HDMI out drives hi-res monitors/TVs * good value for the money

* the only decent CB mail app that supports IMAP (cloudmagic) does not install, claiming it is not compatible. This may be a temporary issue and not be specific to the Toshiba CB, but it makes the CB much less useful as a laptop replacement. Not an...

Impressed!

Great inexpensive laptop that my son will take with him to college. This is a better option than an Apple - if it get dropped, stolen, spilled on, we can easily replace it - unlike to $1k + Apples. Looking forward to the next version with improved...

1. Great Value 2. Good build Quality 3. Key board and track pad work well and have good feedback 4. Great Screen 5. HDMI projection works well, but not enough video horse power to push full 1080p to 60 inch wide screen 6. Good battery life 7. Chrome OS...

1. Video buffering at full screen, max resolution

Fabulous little machine

Great little machine. I'm seriously migrating from Windows and the Mac over to the Chrome operating system. There is little bloat. The machine accesses the internet faster than my other computers and there is no hard drive to fail. I like the idea of...

Worked once and died. Toshiba voided warranty

Uh... case looks nice.

It turned on once and when the battery died it never turned on again. The Newegg warranty doesn't take effect until the manufacturer warranty expires. Toshiba says this is the second sale of this notebook as a refurb and they refuse to do anything to...
