With the C870 Toshiba reaches respectable battery runtimes, even though it's just an inexpensive 17-inch notebook.

I really love this laptop , quite light , good performance and good quality , hopefully will last me a few years.

Easy to use, lightweight, well laid out keyboard

CD tray is very fiddly / cumbersome to open, eject button is awkward to get to.

Very quiet, and excellent quality screen picture. Getting used to windows 7 and it's limitations like trying to import old OE address book etc Good to have option on CD to install Windows 8 if I should go mad!

Told by Avid that my Sibelius 4 software would need updating but it installed and works OK so far. Not compatible with older printers/scanners so have to get new printers and scanner.

Good screen and light weight.

Keyboard deforms when pressed, appears cheap and having the keys without gaps makes for typing errors.

hot air vent works very well doesn't heat your legs up

1) The performance is OK 2) Weight is also not bad

1) Battery life is 3.3 to 4 hours (it is not as they mentioned on the website) 2) Casing is third class toy, looks 6 years old style and low quality plastic.
