Toshiba Satellite U400 / H00 (PSU44A-00H00C)

Looks good, lacks endurance.

Good portability, Sleep-and-Charge USB ports, plenty of connectivity

Short battery life

The U400 is a good size for travellers, has plenty of connectivity and good speed, and it's also well priced, but its battery life is short.

Toshiba Satellite U400-189 - 13.3in Notebook

If you're after power and a modicum of portability, the Toshiba Satellite U400-189 is worth considering.

Toshiba Satellite U400-108 review

A stylish and well-specified portable, but mobility and usability are flawed

Vibrant screen ; Slim and compact ; Impressive spec ; Good software package

Disappointing battery life ; Glossy keyboard

A well-built and fully-featured laptop at a fair price

Toshiba U400 review

Toshiba's new notebook has sports car looks, but does it blaze round the test track or remind us of our camper van?

Its sports car looks hint at nimble performance, but the U400’s slow processor and poor battery mean it can’t keep up with the competition

Toshiba U400-10x – Elegant and compact companion

I have been tasked with reviewing the cheapest edition of Toshiba's new Satellite laptop series. The U400-10X is handsome and glistening little laptop that is, of course, equipped with Intel's Centrino 2 platform. With its 13.3 inches, the computer is...

Different design ; HDMI port ; Great Keyboard ; Great Touchpad ; Robust bag included

Very susceptible to grimy fingers ; A powerful processor would have done wonders

Toshiba has produced smart little laptop which performs well for minor things like surfing on the web, watching movies, and working in Office. It's not a powerful machine, but a very fine laptop at the price. The design draws attention with its shiny...

Toshiba Satellite U400 review

I remember when laptops were the preserve of well-heeled business men and my first laptop was a Texas Instruments DX400-100 with 8MB of RAM. It cost £3500 back then and was state of the art. Fast forward a few years and the £480...

Speedy performance ; Bright and sharp screen ; Ample connectivity ; Good hardware specification ; Elegant design

Glossy black finish shows up fingerprints ; Glidepad was not always easy to use

OK

Overall, I am quite pleased with Toshiba. Good products, great supports and very reliable. However, I have switch to Mac in recent years and found that Macs are more reliable, more fun to use and definitely ahead Toshiba. So why buy a Toshiba laptop...

Good product. Very light and portable. Easy to use. I am using it as a spare computer when I travel. Everything works well.

Not a very good specification. Need to purchase extra external hard drive if you need big storage.
