Toshiba Tecra M4

This überpowerful big-screen tablet PC is a feast for the eyes but a beast for the arms.

Great performance; large, 14.1-inch screen; discrete graphics; built-in DVD burner.

Extremely heavy for a tablet; glare-prone screen has limited viewing angles; gets very hot; no fingerprint scanner.

The Toshiba Tecra M4 is a full-featured laptop that can occasionally be used as a tablet.

Toshiba Tecra M4 Notebook Tablet PC Convertible Review (pics, specs)

The Toshiba Tecra M4 is a very unique computer which I would describe as a jack of all trades. It's thin, fairly light, pretty powerful, and moderately priced. It basically falls into the category of thin and light desktop replacements. However what...

This is a great notebook if you want a machine that can do practically anything. It can run all or nearly all of today's most demanding games, and it can do what other notebooks can't, act as a tablet. For someone looking for tablet functionality and...

Toshiba Tecra M4 Tablet PC - Our Full Review

Did I mention that I HATE dead/stuck pixels - especially bright red ones in the center of the bleeping screen? Perhaps it was a bad coincidence that we got two units in a row plagued with the same problem.

Toshiba Tecra M4

Toshiba has the distinction of popularizing the Tablet PC convertible. True, it was Acer who initially received a lot of attention with its small convertible notebook, but once the Tablet PC was officially unveiled, Toshiba's larger and more...

Despite the nice magnesium chassis, the accelerometer and shock protection and absorption, the M4 should not be considered a rugged or even semi-rugged computer. It is not sealed against solids and liquids either, as most rugged computers are. It can...

Toshiba Tecra M4 Tablet PC

Tablet PC was supposed to change the way we work, or even more importantly, change the way we interact with computers. If you're anything like us, then one of the main reasons you like computers is the keyboard - no one can tell how bad your...

Decent battery, good graphics

Still expensive

If you’re not convinced with the idea of Tablet PC, then the Tecra M4 may well be the machine for you - as it’s the tablet for people who hate tablets. Think of it more as a notebook with a flexible screen and you can’t go too far wrong.
