Toshiba Tecra M6 Review

This light and compact titanium-silver unit has what it takes to get basic work done on the go.

Lightweight and compact

Small mouse buttons

If you'd prefer an M6 with a little more oomph, you can step up from the EZ6611 retail configuration on Toshiba's Web site to the customizable M6-ST3412 model, which you can order with Bluetooth ($30 extra), a hard drive up to 120GB, a faster...

Toshiba Tecra M6 Review (pics, specs)

The M6 offers a pleasant, unremarkable mix of silver and black, is small enough and light enough to carry around and use just about anywhere one might reasonably expect to use a computer. At 1.37 inches thick (1.34 inches at the front), the M6 is not...

Very nice glossy screen ; Light and easy to carry around ; Well built ; Good performance (though somewhat limited by 512 MB RAM) ; Fingerprint reader ; Numerous hardware protection features ; TPM hardware-based encryption ; Runs cool and is very quiet...

No matte screen option ; Surprising amount of junk software ; Only a one-year warranty standard

The Tecra M6 offers a good screen and a solid mix of other standard notebook components, and it is nicely portable, all at a reasonable cost. The machine is well built, attractive and includes most anything an average business user or student might...

Toshiba Tecra M6 review: Toshiba Tecra M6

Inexpensive; good battery life; plenty of ports; integrated optical drive; fingerprint reader; compact design.

Tiny, uncomfortable keyboard and touch pad; tinny speakers; lacks some corporate-level options, such as WWAN or a docking station.

The Toshiba Tecra M6 isn't the lightest, fastest, or even most full-featured laptop around, but it's competitively priced and has enough power for the typical business user.

Great Laptop

I would buy this laptop again. Extremely fast shipping by Newegg. Everything I order seems to make it at least a day ahead of schedual.

This laptop has had no problems so far. The size, speed, and battery life are a perfect combination for my traveling

I wish it had bluetooth avaliable and 1 GB of RAM. I will probably upgrade the amount of RAM in the near future

Tecra M6-EZ6611

It's a tough, very attractive little notebook that's got a lot of standard features. I recommend just buying the memory upgrade along with the computer. It's two, three times faster than with 512MB and it seems to have addressed the problems I was...

Small size. Lightweight. Spill-resistant keyboard. Hard drive protection. DVD burner. Three USBs. SD reader which supports many different size cards/formats ; It's got a great built-in microphone

512MB of memory was inadequate for me. I kept getting blue screens and slow-running programs. And it would run very hot, with the fan constantly revving. After turning it off sometimes, the fan would just rev and rev. Drove me nuts, until I ordered a...
