Toshiba Tecra R10-S4401

The Toshiba Tecra R10-S4401 is one of the few lightweights that can pull off a 14-inch widescreen on a 4.2-pound frame.

Featherweight chassis. Huge 14-inch LED screen. Optical drive included. Excellent typing and navigating experience. Luxuriously thin. Fast hard drive.

Battery life is not enough to make for a travel companion. Extended batteries aren't offered. No internal 3G modem (long overdue).

Toshiba Tecra R10 Review

The Toshiba Tecra R10 is an attractive 14.1" business notebook featuring the latest Intel processors and Nvidia Quadro NVS 150M wrapped inside an impressively thin shell. The Tecra R10 inherits its good looks from Toshiba's Portege line of business...

Excellent configuration with plenty of performance and storage ; Fantastic sunlight-readable screen ; Attractive and sleek design ; All the ports and connections you need for business

More expensive than some of the competition ; Horrible location of the ExpressCard slot (blocks optical drive) ; Subpar battery life ; Strange location of quick launch keys results in some small keyboard keys ; Uncomfortable touchpad buttons ; Poor...

Bottom line, the Toshiba Tecra R10 is a great business notebook for road warriors who want a full featured notebook with sleek looks ... but it would be even better if it was a few hundred dollars less expensive

Toshiba Tecra R10

Despite its strong performance, the tacky design and inflated price leaves the Toshiba Tecra R10 behind the competition.

Fingerprint reader, Nvidia Quadro discrete GPU, Centrino 2, Very fast, Matte display

Overpriced, Tacky design, Keyboard a bit too small, 4GB RAM wasted on 32-bit OS, Average battery life

Review: Toshiba Tecra R10 Notebook

A 14-inch notebook does not have to be boring. It does not have to be heavy either. It can be interesting, well designed, and might even even resemble the manufacturer's $2000+ flagship model. With some of those thoughts in mind Toshiba released the...

Toshiba Tecra R10 (PTRB3A-001002)

The Toshiba Tecra R10 is a 1.9kg laptop with a 14.1in screen and plenty of power.

Only 1.9kg, bright screen, fast, comfortable keyboard

No digital video output, screen contrast is poor when viewing videos, short battery life

If you're a business user who is after a fast yet light notebook and don't want to invest in a small ultraportable, the Toshiba Tecra R10 is ideal. Despite weighing only 1.9kg, it has a 14.1in screen, a built-in DVD burner and plenty of processing...

Toshiba - Tecra R10

Toshiba's Tecra R10 series of laptops comprises several variants. All are small format devices designed for portability. Prices range from £899 (plus VAT) right up to £1,549 (plus VAT), depending on the specifications you choose. At ...

The Tecra R10 is a serviceable enough notebook, but it lacks the panache that some of its competitors offer. If you are desperate for solid state storage and built-in mobile broadband, it will cost a pretty penny.

Toshiba Tecra R10-10H review

Toshiba has a strong reputation in laptops and its Tecra range is key to that. But does this latest model do enough to keep up with the fast moving pack?

It offers decent power, a good range of features and a solid laptop experience, but Toshiba’s laptop ruins its own reputation with a high price. When competitors outstrip the Tecra in every area for far less cash, it’s difficult to find any reason to...

Review: Toshiba Tecra R10

Toshiba's business laptop weighs less than 2kg despite its 14.1in widescreen display

Decent 14.1in screen; comprehensive specification for business

Flash SSD version costly; relatively low battery life

Toshiba's Tecra R10 is a solid business laptop with plenty of performance and all the features a mobile user might need. While the high-end model covered here has 4GB RAM and a Flash hard disk, this specification is a steep price hike over the £899 of...
