Yukyung Viliv X70EX review: Yukyung Viliv X70EX

Yukyung Viliv X70EX

Sharp design; solid build; good-size touch screen.

Software keyboard is no stand-in for physical one; media playback a mixed bag; high price.

The Viliv X70EX is an improvement on its older UMPC-like sibling, the S5, but compared with other Intel Atom-powered products, it's not exactly a bargain.

Viliv X70EX PRE US Black Intel Atom 1.33GHz 7" WSVGA 1GB Memory 32GB SSD Netbook

Awesome unit, this is my first UMPC and I love it.

Awesome screen, great size for airplanes. Seems to be powerful enough for most tasks, HD video playback works great! Touchscreen works great, stylus is a good size. Windshield mount (not included) seems to be very well constructed, very sturdy. SSD...

Needs a 'kick-stand' that pops out of the back so you can set it on a airplane tray-table for watching HD movies. Battery life is probably closer to 3.75 hours in reality. I'm not sure how they are claiming 5.5 hrs. "Recovery Partition" takes up a lot...

It is what it is and what it is is good.

I haven't gotten the GPS to work yet (not that it isn't working, I just haven't used it yet), so I can't speak on that topic but since everything else worked just as it should I have faith that I won't encounter any problems. You do need your own GPS...

It is exactly what it says it is. It preforms accordingly and the Cube GUI is pretty neat but takes some getting used to. The screen is small but very clear and sharp. The touchscreen is responsive. It feels sturdy and preforms well. It does what it...

I haven't put it through the full ringer, but the battery doesn't seem to last as long as the description indicates. Once I really get it out and about I can fully evaluate the battery. Right now it seems that you will get 2-3 hours of full use out of...

Great computer love all the things I can do with it, comes with lots of extras

I had to return some items I bought at another store because Newegg didn't say what was included with the device

Awesome device, awesome shipping

Shipping was ridiculously fast. Thanks Newegg! Very impressive device. Fast booting, fast operation, fast internet over wireless. Responsive touch screen, sturdy stylus. Lots of nice features - USB, bluetooth, GPS. Loud speakers. Haptic on screen...

Built in software lacks. The browser is pretty weak and the CubeUI - while cute - is not an improvement over XP. Turn that off, run Firefox with the drag and move option

Impressive device

A LOT of functionality in one box ... and the price is right! Runs my nav software while flying. Using Windows 7 and very stable. Good readibility in strong sunlight. Very sturdy construction. GPS is extemely sensitive and WAAS enabled. Works better...

hard to pickup without hitting the touch screen and screwing things up ... but that's just me

Good to keep in the bag

It's not multitouch device like New Asus T91 maybe next generation come with the multitouch. Good choice for device with built in GPS Windows machine under $1000

Small size WIndows XP machine. GPS is great I dont need anymore that TomTom at my car

No ethernet port. No finger "mouse" like OQO ; Not customizable buttons on device ; Ram not upgradable ; Little bit heavy with standard leather case ; Awful grip with this "standard leather case" but no choice yet
