Consumer review (newegg.com)

Best bang for the buck

I do not see much of a reason to own a traditional desktop PC anymore. If you can get this much laptop at this low of a price, they're pretty much obsolete. Thank you, Newegg.

Very attractive. Lightweight. Quiet. Runs World of Warcraft at maximum settings with 48 frames per second. Smoothe, bright, & beautiful graphics

Becomes very warm to the touch after a couple hours of gaming. The touch pad does interfear with typing but it is easily disabled via Fn + F3. Some of the buttons are smaller and take some getting used to, but this is to make room for the numberpad- an...

this changes everything...

I have read something in here about the webcam not working. it is false. like the wireless and bluetooth but only without instructions. the webcam is a button up top, the very left button of the four grey uptop. the laptop comes preloaded, with vista...

this is an incredible piece of hardware. i wanted a laptop that could burn dual layer dvds so i posted on eggxpert.com asking for help and when no one replied i decided to go ahead and call Zt technologies because it was not up on there site. i asked...

the pro's cut me off at 1,000 characters. but still i cant hate you newegg, i gotta love you now! but this laptop is the best value for the price. its worth 10 times more than that

Perfect midrange laptop

Would have really liked this laptop to support 802.11n, but 802.11g "ok". Not much to worry about with this laptop. (Other than the its black color being a bit of a dust magnet.)

Great laptop! Haven't had any problems with it as of yet ; Seems to be a pretty solid little computer ; Graphics card is powerful, though probably not good enough for any of the latest games on the market; if you're one that has a few of last...

It has a few, but they're pretty small. For sake of completeness I'll list them ; 1: Some of the keys on the keyboard are very small, which can make typing a pain at times ; 2: The touchpad mouse is a pain in the rear. If you don't keep your left wrist...

Why ZT element is only good not great

most of the cons are cons just needs to get use to. except the technical difficulties with the mouse pad.

1. great specs, video card, ram, storage space. sick laptop especially for gaming ; 2. no bloatware (could be good but you need to know what software to download)

there are some. but if you're not super picky you can deal with it ; 1. battery life is only 2 hrs not like a macbook which can be more like 4 hrs ; 2. keyboard takes getting use to especially the smaller buttons on the right side ; 3. the mouse pad...

Great Bang for the Buck

While quite a bit weaker graphically than the specs would suggest, it is still considerably stronger than anything in its price-range. That is where most of the 5 eggs come from. It definitely has its quirks, but no more than any laptop. The touch pad...

Great specs for the price. Beautiful bright screen. Lightweight for its performance class. Very snappy performance. Lots of ports to connect things. Easily handles large Photoshop tasks with ease

More powerful on paper than in reality. 8600M GT is decent, but crippled by slow 400MHz DDR2 RAM (The standard for this GPU is 700MHz GDDR3). Smallish 4800mAh battery makes for poor battery run-time. Internal speakers sound awful

great buy

If your on a budget I don't think it gets much better than this.

This laptop rocks, for the price it's loaded. I just hooked it to my 42" plasma and watched a movie streaming from netflix, with no lag time or glitches. Awesome

Yes the touch pad is a little sensitive when you type, but I think that is quite normal. Just something to get used to. Oh still haven't figured out the built in camera. Can't seem to make it work

Great deal

This laptop has great specs if you plan to do some gaming. It runs games like WoW and WAR with no problems, even at decent graphics settings and other stuff running in the background. It's amazing that a laptop that is this good all around is available...

The biggest problem I've had is with Vista, which has proven horrible at networking with my older computers that are using XP. I can't hold that against ZT or Newegg, because that's pretty standard for new laptops. Also, because it is designed to have...

Worth it for the money

I just plug my desktops 2.1 speaker system into it which makes it great for media and gaming. Didn't know this would be my desktop replacement. Take advantage of the low price before it goes up, already went up $20 since i bought it last week!

First off the price for what you get is unbeatable. Their were some sour reviews about this thing but i haven't had any problems yet. I was a die-hard Xp user but once i set my fingers on this Vista home premium I realized how much better of an...

Some of the key placements aren't the best. I dont mind the smaller shift and period key that others have mentioned it is the (fn) key and left control key placement that bothers me ; Touch pad: here is an issue, THERE NEEDS TO BE A WAY TO DISABLE....

Solid Buy

With this box you can run top of the line 2006-7 games on full graphics settings and newer stuff at high-medium settings. I'm totally satisfied with that.

You can't get these kind of specs for this price anywhere else. Honestly, going in I was a little apprehensive of some people's reports of lemons and pesky downsides, but I have had no monitor trouble, and while it's true the period key is curiously...

What cons? The touchpad mouse is annoying, but so are all built in laptop mice. Serious gamers might be dissappointed with the FSB speed and the RAM speed, but for this price, what you do get is a bargain. And they are right, the A/C adapter is a bit...

Beware the Brand

I would have gone a different/more expensive route if I knew this computer would cause this much trouble. I attempted to do so through NewEgg, but unfortunately you can only send a computer in to get fixed, not exchanged for a more expensive one. So...

listed specs

The keypad layout for my purposes is terrible. I would much rather have larger shift and directional keys and a smaller numeric keypad. Or remove the keypad entirely. In addition the mouse has a tendency to jump around on you, even when not touching...
