CANON EF 180 mm f/3.5 L USM Telephoto Prime Lens

Image quality is first rate. One of the best Canon lenses I have owned.

IQ, focal length, takes ext12 ok, haven't noticed weight

The quality of the pictures are good. The focusing can be overiden by using the manual ring without moving any switches. The lens is heavy but not as heavy as other l series lenses.have used it without a tripod on moving insects and have had good results.

Excellent image quality unbelievable! I'm use with macro systems I used a macro planar in the past This lens much much better. Aperture is fantastic and bokeh as well.... You can use it for other purpose as well

Superb build quality and very good optical performance although resolution isn`t up to par with the best L lenses. A big plus are the internal focus, meaning the lens stays the same lenght as you focus and the front doen`t rotate so you can use...

Resolution could be better for a L series lens, also the auto focus can be very slow in difficult conditions, but as manual focus is normaly used for macro photography this isn`t a big issue.
