CANON EF 85 mm f/1.8 USM Standard Prime Lens

Just fantastic

All good - pin sharp - nice bokeh - fast/accurate focussing

Only negative point is that if you already have the 50mm f1.4 (which I do) - then you probably don't need this.

Nice, bright image; fast enough for use in low light; excellent depth of field (DOF) at F4, F5,6 etc; very quiet focusing.

Lack of lens hood (can be purchased separately but Canon one is expensive). Be careful to use at least F4 if you do not want very limited DOF.

Super sharp images and fast focusing .

It's beautiful for street photography and fashion. I mainly shoot Headshots for actors in London though and it's amazing for that. It's also very silent and fast. I thought I had a problem with it at first because I couldn't hear it focusing
