The Canon EF-M 28mm f/3.5 Macro IS STM lens is a small, inexpensive macro gem, delivering crisp images and featuring an integrated LED to shed light on subjects.

Edge-to-edge sharpness. 1.2x magnification. Integrated LED light. Smooth, silent focus. Image stabilization. Minimal distortion. Compact. Inexpensive.

Dim corners when shooting Raw. Narrow maximum aperture. Plastic lens mount.

I have almost no complaints about the EF-M 28mm f/3.5 Macro IS STM. It's small, inexpensive, sharp, and focuses almost right up to the front element. I can nitpick and say it's not an f/2.8 or f/2 lens, but it's tough to combine wide apertures with...
