At the end of February 2007 the Panasonic company informed about launching a new Leica-D Summilux 25 mm f/1.4 lens on the market. The D letter in the name means that it was designed to work with the Four Thirds system detectors, so with reflex cameras...

visible vignetting which decrease very slow on stopping down ; too high coma ; problems with the work against the light in case of higher aperture values

One of my most used lenses, along with the DZ50 f2, very versatile.

Wonderful image quality. Nice bokeh. With usable f1.4 and IS built into my E-5 and E-3 this lens allows low light shooting without flash

A little on the large and heavy side for a 'normal' prime. I find the hood difficult to put on and take off. Some vignetting issues
