Panasonic Leica DG Summilux 25mm f1.4 II Asph.

Panasonic has done very well with this lens. The only objectionable thing about it might be its price tag, which strikes a bit high for what some might see as the micro four-thirds equivalent of the nifty fifty.

Panasonic announced it has renewed its LEICA DG fixed focal length lens based on the Micro Four Thirds system standard. In addition to the large F1.4 aperture, the new LEICA DG SUMMILUX 25mm / F1.4 II ASPH.

Launched in June 2011, Panasonic's 25mm f/1.4 Leica DG lens might seem wide but mounted to a FourThirds system camera with its 2x crop factor, it's equivalent to a 50mm prime.

I use it with the Panasonic GH4 for 4k video.

Attached to the smaller cameras it is the perfect lens for general work. Ideal for portraits as well as street photography and landscape. It is light to carry and unobtrusive when in a crowd.

I bought an OMD 5 kit and was disappointed with the results using the kit lens. The Panasonic 25mm lens TRANSFORMED the camera and the results can only be described as superb. I cannot recomend this lens too highly.
