WOULD HAVE LIKED A POWER ZOOM

Very good performance even wide open, VR works well. If you want a good travel lens, this one won't disappoint.

Although the lens is relatively short in travel mode, it is slow when switching on the camera due to the design of the lens. Disappointed that the lens hood is classed as an extra and not included with the lens.

Very easy to use if you are used to the Nikon 1 startup lens button. Brings a whole new world of photography into view.

As recorded in other reviews Hyper sensitive manual focus ring, just need to touch it and it takes over. Not really a bad point, just need to take care.

Great zoom range. Sharp image quality.

Should be supplied with tripod plate (at least) and soft case. Having to shell out an extra £30+ for something which is an essential when working at extreme focal lengths is sheer money making.

Nice quality Nikon lens in white to match your camera. Easy to change and use, auto-focus works well.

A storage bag would be useful.
