Pentax SMC FA 31mm f/1.8 Limited

The Pentax SMC FA 31mm f/1.8 Limited has earned legendary status as a stellar wide-angle lens. Despite its age, it's still a strong performer.

Crisp optics, especially when stopped down. All-metal build quality. Wide aperture. Integrated hood. Mechanical aperture control ring. Excellent manual focus experience.

Expensive. Dated screw-drive autofocus system. Dim corners and soft edges at wide apertures. Some barrel distortion. Omits weather-sealing.

Conclusions The word classic is overused, but I can't think of a better one to describe the Pentax SMC FA 31mm f/1.8 Limited. We live in a society where it's common to trade-in a perfectly good smartphone every two years, drive a car for three of four,...

BEST LENS EVER!

These are the BEST AUTOFOCUS lens money can buy. The build quality is amazing, the optical quality is second to only maybe leica. These are the ne plus ultra in lenses.

Expensive, but well worth the money!
