Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS Sports Review

Sharp results across zoom range ; Dust, splash, and fluorine protection ; Two zoom tension settings ; Tripod collar with Arca foot ; Outstanding stabilization ; Full-frame coverage for E and L mirrorless cameras

Only works with L-mount teleconverters ; Small f-stop isn't great for low light ; Limits Sony a1 and a9 continuous drive speed

The Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS Sports lens offers plenty of zoom power for capturing distant action, and is built tough for use in rough weather.

Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM Sports

The pricey Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM Sports is a pro-grade telezoom lens that is built to stand the test of time, but boy is it heavy.

Very sharp. Minimal distortion. Built like a tank. Weather-sealed design. Includes tripod collar and lens hood. Quick focus. Image stabilization system. Zoom locking mechanism. Available for multiple camera systems.

Expensive. Very heavy. Relatively narrow aperture.

Conclusions The Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM Sports is an impressive telephoto lens. Its reach is incredible—especially when paired with an APS-C camera like the 7D Mark II—which makes it a great choice for birders and sports shooters. And it's...

Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary

The Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary offers incredible telephoto reach, fast focusing, and solid image stabilization at a reasonable price.

Excellent telephoto reach. Very sharp. Includes tripod collar and lens hood. Focuses quickly. Effective image stabilization system. Zoom locking mechanism. Affordable.

Some chromatic aberration. Moderate pincushion distortion. Relatively narrow aperture. Heavy. Not fully dust- and splash-proof.

Conclusion The Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary is a lens that delivers image quality and telephoto reach that certainly exceed its asking price. It's tack sharp throughout almost all of the frame at its maximum aperture, at all but its...

The Sigma 60-600mm F4.5-6.3 DG DN OS Sports is a new super-telephoto 10x zoom lens for Sony Alpha full-frame mirrorless cameras. Offering a much larger focal range than other comparable telephoto lenses, is this super-versatile all-in-one lens worth...

Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM | C review

The Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM | C packs monster reach into a fairly lightweight package

Epic super-telephoto zoom range ; Good build-quality and performance ; Great value for money

Still pretty weighty ; Sharpness drops off at the long end

As one of Sigma’s ‘Contemporary’ lenses, the Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM | C is designed to deliver good performance while keeping the size down and the weight off. It boasts tremendous super-telephoto reach, stretching all the way to 600mm focal...

Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG DN OS Sports review

Sigma's venerable 150-600mm Sports lens gets a mirrorless makeover, and it's better than ever!

Excellent image quality ; Solid, weather-sealed build ; Extensive features

Non-removable tripod collar ; Inevitably heavy and bulky

The Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG DN OS Sports is hard to beat. It’s superbly well-engineered, weather-sealed, has a wealth of features and delivers excellent image quality. If you're an E-mount or L-mount user and are after a super-telephoto lens for...
