Tokina AT-X 535 PRO DX AF 50-135 mm f/2.8

Almost year ago some rumours started about new Tokina lenses: fish eye 10-17 mm, standard zoom 16-50 mm f/2.8 and tele-zoom 50-135 mm f/2.8.That information was officially confirmed during PMA show in February 2006. Tokina planned to introduce all...

Tokina AF 50-135mm f/2.8 AT-X Pro (Nikon) - Review / Test Report

The Tokina AF 50-135mm f/2.8 AT-X Pro DX is a very good lens with a few flaws. The resolution figures are generally very good, except for the long end of the zoom range, where the borders and corners drop in quality at large apertures. The contrast...

Tokina AT-X 535 PRO DX AF 50-135mm f/2.8

Okay, this lens doesn't have a written review yet, which suprises me. But it does have quick ratings that add up to 4.8 stars! And for a reason! In case you haven't seen the MTF resolution charts on this lens, it is one of the sharpest lenses ever...

Amazingly sharp, well made, solid, all metal

Only made for crop sensor SLR's

Tokina AT-X 535 PRO DX

If you're into portraiture this is the lens for you - all the portrait focal lengths rolled into one solid, fast, compact lens. In 35mm terms it's a 80 to 216mm f/2.8 on my 60D Canon, but compare it alongside a full frame lens of the same spec and just...

The only downer is that it has a non-removable tripod mount - almost completely unnecessary in my view. There's no stabilisation built in, but this lens is fast and modern chips can shoot without flinching at 1600 ISO so there - you've got your shutter...

Tokina AT-X 535 PRO DX

I have been using this lens for only two weeks but my first impressions are very good. I use it on Nikon D300s, the lens is very well balanced and built quality is really excellent. The non-detachable tripod mount does not bother me at all, it can be...

Tokina AT-X 535 PRO DX AF 50-135 mm f/2.8

Great lens - just don't miss it.

Super sharp at every focal lengthGreat colorsDust protected

Just a bit soft at 135mm f2.8A little noisy (AF speed is Ok on Nikons, speed depends on a camera body)

Tokina AT-X 535 PRO DX

Excellent sharpness even at f2.8 through the entire focal length range. Superb bulit qualtiy at any price. Very smooth zoom and focus rings. Similar build quality to the Nikon 70-200 f2,8. Superb creamy bokeh Very smooth focusing and solid, accurate...

No image stabilization in lens. Screw drive. No HSM motor in lens. However, with the Nikon D7000, focusing is smooth, accurate and reasonably fast.. Can't remove the tripod collar foot for hand held shooting. A bit heavy, but considering the build...
