The Apple TV 4K is fast, it packs Siri voice search, and offers support for all of the latest formats. But can Apple still justify its stratospheric price?
Extremely intuitive interface ; Siri search/control is vastly improved ; Powerful graphics and processing ; Beautiful 4K HDR picture
Slightly dim SDR content in some cases ; No longer the only way to do AirPlay ; Expensive compared to competition
Sleek and expensive, the Apple TV 4K will still delight the Apple faithful

The Apple TV 4K packs in almost everything the last model was missing, and its push towards making 4K releases cheaper is noble. But there aren't many third-party apps supporting the new format at launch, and Apple also made some curious decisions that...
4K/HDR content looks great ; Aggressive pricing for 4K/HDR films ; Wide variety of apps
Needs more third-party 4K/HDR support ; Video processing goes overboard ; No Dolby Atmos
The Apple TV 4K does everything you'd expect it to do -- what's surprising is how Apple is undercutting the competition in 4K pricing. In a world where people are buying fewer films, and the current best physical media format might not be sticking...

The Apple TV 4K remains the best streamer you can buy, as long as you don't mind the price.
The Apple TV 4K delivers the best streaming video available to compatible 4K, HDR and Dolby Vision TVs. It offers the most polished streaming experience today, the best remote on the market and excellent Siri voice options. It's just $30, £30 or AU$40...
The Apple TV 4K is expensive. It doesn't stream YouTube in 4K or HDR. Cheaper streaming devices from Roku and others offer similar image quality and capabilities, as well as more 4K apps.
If you can swing the price and want the best streamer available today, get the Apple TV 4K.

It's been a long time coming, but Apple has finally made the move to 4K HDR video streaming. The wait for Apple TV 4K was worth it, especially for those living exclusively in the iOS ecosystem.

I want to love the Apple TV 4K. I want to love it a lot. But because it's so ambitious, it's also the farthest away from the vision it's trying to achieve.
I am very confident Apple is going to figure this TV thing out. It’s the only company that has the combination of power and care to actually do it. But the Apple TV 4K’s unrealized potential just makes it obvious that the future of TV is still pretty...

Apple TV 4K (2022) is the latest model available from Apple, delivering a solid experience with hardware that's meant to make smart TV as simple as possible.
Support for latest HDR standards ; A15 Bionic chipset is more than fast enough ; Siri Remote is easier to use (and charge) ; Cheaper than previous model ; Refreshingly advert and tracking-free
Expensive compared to rivals ; Apple TV app still isn't quite what it promises
Expert review by : Jared Newman (techhive.com)
The Apple TV 4K gets the little details right, but it's more than twice the price of other 4K HDR streaming devices.
Fast, fluid interface with best-in-breed apps ; Siri is as smart as it gets for TV search ; No ads larding up the home screen ; Can serve as a HomeKit smart-home hub
Far more expensive than other 4K HDR streamers ; No 4K HDR for YouTube and no Amazon Video (yet) ; The Siri Remote is still too easy to lose in the couch
The Apple TV’s software hasn’t changed much with the new hardware, in that it still requires users to make a philosophical choice between apps and content.

Webshop Amazon removed the Apple TV 4K product page from its website. Is it temporarily or will Amazon ban the Apple TV again?

We reviewed Apple's latest streaming device and here's what we think of it “We can wholeheartedly recommend it to those who are entrenched in the Apple ecosystem. For the rest and for those who don't want to spend so much, there's always the Amazon...

The Apple TV 4K offers an attractive, customizable interface and affordable UHD content, but design flaws and a subpar remote hold it back.
Fantastic 4K HDR content ; Intuitive home screen ; Simple iOS and macOS integration
Expensive ; Fiddly remote ; No digital audio or USB ports
Ultimately, the Apple TV 4K is gorgeous and intuitive, but it's not ambitious enough for the high price. If you've got a 4K TV and a lot of money tied up in the Apple ecosystem, this box is worth a look. Otherwise, you could probably invest the extra...
