Like a charm

I bought a refurb of this model. I was conflicted because of all of the negative reviews, but the price was so reasonable I decided to jump in. I had my fingers crossed, assuming I'd return it under a 30-day return policy and eat the shipping costs if...

Stable, fast, no problems whatsoever

So Far So Good

So far I haven't ran into any issues like the majority of the other people were having, but its just day 1 so far so good and I'm enjoying the fast pace of speed. The computer runs through applications like butter and still begs for more, I do a little...

Fastest computer ever owned

It's the fastest computer I've ever owned or used, it can handle multiple applications with out even trying, it can run "Crises" at high quality with no slowdowns. Seting up the multiple monitors was a breeze with Win 7, fast wi fi

Only comes with 1 hard drive, could use a few more usb ports even though it has 7, Windows 7 has some irritating password requiments for its wireless internet set up

Meets and exceeds my needs

Saved $100 over the newer 2010 model HPE-170t. Basically all the same parts and performance. This model is rated for gaming, the new one is home/home office. I bought this after I found out the new model was out. Only regretted for a few days (till it...

Very fast. Easy to setup. No problems or any bugs

Easily worth the price

Definitely worth the price. Was planning to replace my defunct Dell with another Dell, but couldn't get a comparable price

The on-board WiFi adapter is only so-so . For computers located far from the router, getting an external WiFi adapter (with an antenna) may be a good idea ; Missing an old fashion serial and parallel port, so will need to connect devices from the...

all but the KB

Windows 7 is kind of OK,

Price was fair, system set up standard ; 64 bit system has its nuances.. FAST, no issues as of yet ; Wish it had a BDROM

THE KEYBOARD. THAT KEYBOARD IS THE WORST ; It took me 2 days to find a suitable keyboard for the pc ; What I would do for a USB IBM clicky keyboard ; Wish it has PS/2 ports, so I could buy a REAL keyboard

AVOID BUYING THIS PC!!!

Don't be tempted to buy this setup despite this warning. People who invest $1200 in a workstation, usually rely on it for serious WORK, like film-editing/Image manipulation/VFX. There's no logic in buying a workstation that is not reliable and might...

It feels good to own a $1200 workstation. Too bad it has an inherent malfunctioning part that causes freezes and makes this workstation unreliable

The Pegasus Motherboard that HP uses for all it's Pavilion Elite setups has a factory defect that causes their workstations to freeze EVERY TIME after it's been off/sleep mode for a while

Previous owned a HP Compaq with windows XP.  This computer came with Windows 7 and I was leery.  Turns out it's a great product.   I purchased this computer to do school work, e-mail, online banking and above all else gaming.  My first person shooter...
