Philips Norelco SensoTouch 3D Electric Razor Review

Back in high school and a majority of college, I used the Norelco 885RX electric razor you see in the middle of the picture below (I agree, I could not believe I still had it as well). It was well used and dying quickly. In my junior year, I was given...

New replacement head to be avoided

  (Rating Hidden)

It was fine with the original head but the latest and only head that fits both costs upward of £50 to replace and gives a terrible shave. I have put mine in storage and have reverted to an older HQ model for which you can obtain the original heads for

update needed

i have had this razor for 3years or so and had no problem replacing the heads. I am pleased with it but considering a replacement as the battery life not so good. Very disappointing that Which have not updated their reviews for some time and therefore...

Renewing the head is a problem which makes this shaver one to avoid

  (Rating Hidden)

I was quite satisfied with this razor at first but after 18 months I want to change the head (Philips suggest after 12 months) I find that it costs about £60. This is because they have changed the design so that future changes will be less expensive....

Replacement head no longer available

  (Rating Hidden)

My husband really liked this shaver so it's a shame that the replacement head is no longer being supplied. Which?, please take this down as a best buy as it's essentially a super expensive disposable!

Initial close shave soon becomes ordinary. Replacement heads very expensive

Had this for nearly 4 years. At first it gave a really close shave, but after 3 months or so, it became no better and no worse than my previous shaver. I had the main body replaced under guarantee twice because the battery failed. The charging stand is...

No replacement heads

I actually really like this shaver which I bought just over 2 years ago. However now I want to replace the head unit (you can't just replace the blades!) I find that they are no longer available and haven't been since at least August. I am going to...

Poor reliability

  (Rating Hidden)

Had shaver replaced twice within the 2 year warranty as it failed totally.third time it failed,it was out of warranty so shaver was binned. The build quality on this shaver is so poor , its impossible to d.I.y. repair, as it refuses to reassemble...

Quirky but excellent

  (Rating Hidden)

I can endorse all the good things that Which? has to say about this shaver. I can usefully add a word about the price.I bought mine last summer from Boots and seem to have done rather better than Which? who seem not to have tried this source. I paid...

Comfortable to use but...

  (Rating Hidden)

This shaver is quiet and very comfortable to use, but its big drawback is not mentioned in the Review. Certainly it can be used cordless, but when it runs out of charge it stops instantly. To recharge, it has to be held in a cradle. This means that it...
