I agree with volmarstein. The light is quite bright, but doesn't illuminate the inside when the door is closed due to the darkness of the door. I contacted Samsung about this and received a reply denying that this was a problem, so I'm probably going...

There is an oven bulb wasting energy yet you can't view the food or liquid to see if it is bubbling etc. because the door pane is too dark. What a ridiculous and basic shortcoming!

Thank you for your comment. We've spoken with Samsung, who says this is out of stock but should be back soon. It hasn't been discontinued, and should have wider distribution in the next month or so.
