I brought this to make baby food. I found that for the time I needed to whizz it, I could smell it over heating. I'm sure it would be fine for eg making milkshakes and smoothies that a quick blitz is fine. I've gone back to my liquidiser unfortunately

We really like this light. I actually bought it for a night light for our young girls. But I think it's just a bit too bright for that. It has a nice dim glow, but too much light for our girls.
