Should you upgrade to Cuisinart's PowerEdge 1000 Watt Blender?

Was Cuisinart's most expensive mixer able to edge out the competition?

With 1,000 watts of power, die-cast metal construction, and a 64-oz. jar, the $199 ; has a high-end feel at a midrange price. For basic blending needs, it does the job.

The competition does the job better, for the same price or less.

With superior options available at the same midrange price point, this blender is just too average for us to recommend.

Cuisinart CJE-1000 Review

While the Cuisinart did great with our trio of juice cocktails, it fell short in almost every other test we conducted

Makes great blended juices

Struggled with leafy greens, harder to clean

While this product did score well in our first metric, it fell relatively flat in subsequent tests, finishing close to the bottom of the group. The isn't our favorite and we would struggle to recommend it, but it does make excellent mixed juice...

Cuisinart Juice Extractor # CJE-1000

The Cuisinart Juice Extractor was just average when it comes to juicing and this model struggled with both leafy kale and apples in GHRI tests. It is quick to juice, and relatively easy to use, thanks in part to a feed chute that is large enough to...

Cuisinart CJE-1000

Built solid, fairly quite for a juicer, easy to take apart and clean

Wish it had a drip tray for under the spout. other then that nothing

First Time Juicer

Save the money and get this unit for half the price of a new one.

So far this refurbished unit is exactly what I would expect from a brand new unit. So far it has made three batches of juice and has not had any issues whatsoever. I will update this review if there are any issues in the near future.

None so far. The item cleans much more easily that I expected and is designed very intelligently.

Works just fine

Was going to buy a $50 model (different brand) for my wife when I found this better quality refurbished one for $20 more. It works just fine & does what it is supposed to do. It looked brand new right out of the box, no scratches, missing parts or...

Not really a con but I ran the pulp thru a 2nd & a 3rd time on low setting & managed to get another 3oz out of the pulp. As I am somewhat frugal (wife says cheap) I thought this was worth the goo mess.

Juicer

I used this refurbished unit one time and it never turned on again. I'm not happy about this.

Price.

Unit stopped functioning after juicing one time.

Cuisinart Extractor

I am really glad I decided to purchase this over a cheaper brand at a local chain. I prefer to go with quality over price most of the time. I would definately recommend to a friend!

Powerful with 5 speed for different grade of foods. Easy to disassemble and clean. Looked brand new with no signs of wear even though it was in a refurbished box.

Even though cleaning is easy it can be time consuming if you plan on doing a lot of juicing. I am sure any brand would be this way considering the nature of what the machine is designed to do.

never stops workin

this is the first juicer i have ever bought but i am VERY impressed with it, i couldnt have paid out for a better product its reasonably priced, its nice looking

i push this thing to its limits and keep on pushin it and so far it hasnt failed me yet it just chews thru anything u put in it and keeps on chewing. gives you a VERY good juice. easily cleaned only one part that takes a lil time to clean but still not...

it cant make me breakfast in bed. none though for being a juicer. a lil loud but oh well, and a bit big but in reality it helps cut down the prep time so not really a con.
