I think this beater is very helpful but does not eliminate the need to scrape the mixing bowl. You definitely don't have to scrape as often but it's still necessary, especially with a thicker batter. All in all, I'm satisfied.

I guess I expected a bit more from this scraper blade. If the rubber was extended a bit further it would scrape the sides of the bowl better. I had to use a hand held spatula to get what the blade missed.

I love my kitchen aid, but this product makes it better, quicker, easier.. there's no stopping frequently to scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl to make sure its evenly blended, this does it for you, and makes the mixing portion much quicker......

I really was excited to use this new blade as it sounds great not to have to scrape the bowl so much during the process of mixing. It did do a nice job except there tends to be a build up at the top which creates a mess if your mixing up a thicker...
