The G225HQ is nothing special, but it'll likely appeal to twitch gamers with next to zero input lag, its aggressive styling and affordable price. It's just a shame it's a gloss screen.

Taking design cues from Acer's own Predator gaming desktop, the G225HQ looks like it would be at home on Batman's desk, the striking angular design and mixed gloss with matte black adding up to one serious-looking monitor.

- Comes with VGA (DSub) cable and power cables (both 2-pin Euro and 3-pin UK). - Tidy design. - Very easy to set up. - Menu system fairly easy to understand. - Good quality image for the price.

- Can be a little tricky for new users to locate the power on button. - Does NOT come with DVI cable. If you intend to run the monitor through DVI make sure you buy a cable seperately. - X-shaped base could present ergonomic issues on smaller computer...

Perfect for gaming, watching films and also everyday use

It is easy to assemble and you can alter the screen colour, brightness, contrast and gamma settings to produce a good quality picture. For the money it is good value.

The build quality is not the worst but does leave you less than impressed and it's matt finish is not eye catching.
