The Acer P243W is an attractive, bright 24-inch monitor with generally good performance, but it lacks multimedia features.

Crisp, bright image. Elegant design. HDMI port.

Lacks multimedia features. Narrow vertical viewing angle. Weak light grayscale performance.

I bought four of these monitors around 2008. All four are still going strong -- not a single problem whatsoever, despite eight or more hours of daily use, dozens of relocations, and maybe even a little abuse along the way. About to retire these in...

Refurbished PowerColer AXR7 250

 

Bought my 24" P243WAid back in 2008 and just dropped and broke it last Sunday. R.I.P. It had great picture quality and no complaints from me at all. I probably would have kept it a few more years. I wish I didn't try to mount it on a Ergotron LX Desk...

It was quite heavy at over 15 lbs, but to be expected for it's age

This has been my every day use screen since it was purchased around 07/08. It is as good as new.

If everything was built this good, companies wouldn't be able to sell anything new. No one would have a reason to upgrade.

Still going strong

 

I bought this in 2008 and it's still running with zero issue or quality degrade. I just bought Acer G6 27" to replace it and upgrade or just put next to it, haven't decided yet
