ASUS Swift ROG PG278 G-Sync monitor: This is a gamer's dream display!

The new ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q G-Sync monitor boasts impressive specifications such as a speedy 1ms response time and ultra-fast 144Hz refresh rates, and supports both NVIDIA G-Sync and 3D Vision technologies. Could this be the ultimate gaming monitor?

Incorporates G-Sync technology ; Easy to use controls and OSD ; Well-engineered stand ; Thin bezel ; Fast and responsive pixels

Only a single Mini-DP input ; Out of box color accuracy only decent ; G-Sync only works with NVIDIA GPUs ; Very pricey and it's not a 4K screen

The ASUS ROG Swift RG278 combines cutting-edge monitor technologies in a sleek and attractive design. The light up base might not be to everyone’s tastes, but you cannot argue against its slim design and those thin bezels. The stand is also very well...

Review: ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q

G-SYNC is Nvidia's new proprietary technology, built into select new gaming screens. It forces the display to be a slave to the graphics card, only updating the screen when the graphics card has a new frame ready for it. It's the opposite to the way...

I guess I got one of the good ones.

Like the title says, I guess I got one of the good ones. I read all of those bad reviews and still ended up purchasing this. I'm about 7 months in with absolutely no issues at all. Fingers crossed I don't run into problems.

-Great colors and viewing angles for a TN panel. -Anti-Glare is not noticeable once you get used to the monitor in my opinion. -Super easy to use menus. -Comes up from sleep extremely quickly. -Image looks amazingly sharp, as well as the design.

-Some back light bleed when the screen is 100% black, but otherwise not noticeable. It's to be expected with a monitor of this size. Not quite worth putting as a con. I only saw it because I was looking for it.

Great!

Bought this for a new rig I assembled last week. Coming from a 21" 1080p monitor, this was a big upgrade. My new rig currently has a i5-4690k and GTX 970 and it works great (Upgrading to a 1070 or 1080). Running at 2560x1440 at 144Hz, games like Dark...
