KDS website says it's no longer in production. Failure mode for all but one is that the backlight goes dark a few seconds after power on. Cycle the power, backlight goes back on briefly and then goes dark again.

Avoid like the plague - excellent picture at first now have a 3" blue band down the left hand side of the screen after only 5 months! Amazon were excellent, HDNL screwed up the replacement monitor (never arrived!) so opted for a refund. See its gone up...

We like the sturdy double-hinged chassis. It's not as slick as the Samsung SyncMaster 172x, and lacks rotation for portrait document editing, but it does enable easy wall mounting. That said, we're less smitten with the integrated speakers. They're a weed
