I use it with a macbook pro (mid 2009) with a mini displayport -> dvi converter (newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812340005) which also works well.

I find this to be a very good monitor. The visuals are stunning! One thing I'll point out is that, regarding the sound, turn your sound input to the highest allowed by your card or onboard sound. I have 24 bit 192000 selected. Smoothed out the sound a lot

It only comes with a VGA cable, but it does have the option to connect with DVI. So I bought a DVI cable separately.
