HP w2338h

The HP w2338h delivers full HD video at a reasonable price but doesn't offer much in the way of features.

Good color and text quality. Full HD resolution. Stylish design.

Limited features for the money. HDMI cable cost extra. Weak dark grayscale performance.

HP w2338h

Three-quarters of the way through our product-testing regimen, we saw HP's unremarkable 23-inch display headed toward a verdict of 6 or 7. It has a couple of nice features—as well as a couple of odd omissions—but at that point we hadn't encountered...

Very good black levels; removable stand tilts and swivels; controls are easy to use

No DVI port; no headphone jack; egregious color-tracking errors; specular reflections

The w2338h performed surprisingly well in our Blu-ray test, especially when it came to the many scenes in Watchmen that unfold in deep shadows. But the built-in speakers are so underpowered that we couldn’t hear much of the dialog even when we cranked...

HP w2338h

The HP W2338H is great for the HD computer user. If your computer usage does not require the need for lots of HD technology then this may not be the best option for you. However for you gamers and HD evangelists that require great picture quality...

Consumer review (newegg.com)

Adequate while the menu buttons lasted

Bought it three years ago.

This was the pick of my short list in this price range

As little as I use the menu buttons, I'd thought they wouldn't have failed. Note to all monitor manufacturers: I'd like to see all button functions to be programmable from the drivers as a backup to the physical buttons. I'm not able to find...

Consumer review (newegg.com)

Flawed, but very good.

All in all, it's a nice upgrade from the 17" 4:3 ratio CRT I had before, but I would like something I don't have to clean almost daily.

HD ; Great for gaming/movies ; Colors are amazing ; I've had it for about 1.5 years, and it has never let me down

Glossy screen that shows even the slightest smudge ; Pixels stick with great regularity, all I have to do is tap them, and it's fixed, but is is annoying ; Poor viewing angle, I have to have the monitor on my desk top, instead of on the monitor stand...

Beautiful, but...

Switched video cards, tried the monitor on a different computer (even tried it without a computer, line's always there.) It's definitely the display.

Hands down the best looking picture I've ever seen on a monitor ; HDMI input ; Huge

1-year warranty, which wouldn't be so bad except that about a month after the warranty was up, I suddenly got a thin bright-red vertical line spanning the height of the monitor, about 6" from the right side of the panel

HP w2338h Black 23" 5ms Full HD 1080P HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor DC 3000:1(1000:1) Built in Speakers

They are shipping me a new monitor, thankfully, because I was just barely still in the warranty. Two suggestions: Buy the extended warranty. After reading online it seems ALL HP monitors are dang near expected to fail close to or right after the basic...

Great picture and color quality. Very nice size. Extensive options menu

After about 7months after I bought this monitor I had a green vertical line appear on the right hand side. This ran all the way from the top to the bottom of the screen ; As I'm sitting here writing this I now have 7 vertical lines in varying colors...

Great

"What a fantastic monitor. Don't hesitate to buy this one, with full HD and the perfect size for displaying documents side by side or viewing photos and drawings full screen. It really elevates your computer user life."

Its a great monitor...but

"As far as the monitor itself goes, its excellent. It had all the features I was looking for. It had the connection points for my swing arm mount. One thing I had a problem with was the connections. This monitor comes with 2 ways to connect it. An...
