HP w2558hc review: HP w2558hc

HP w2558hc

The HP w2558hc is a feature-laden display with numerous connection options and extras. Also, it has a built-in digital photo frame interface and good performance in movies and games.

The HP w2558hc has no pivoting feature, lackluster viewing angles, and its gaming preset is calibrated too bright.

The HP w2558hc is jam-packed with features and well worth its asking price.

HP w2558hc

If you're looking for a big-screen multimedia monitor that can do it all, look no further than the HP w2558hc. This handsome 25.5 inch display not only offers solid productivity and gaming performance, it's also jam-packed with features, including a...

Very good color and dark grayscale reproduction. Lots of features. Great motion handling performance

Expensive. One-year warranty

The HP w2558hc is a top-shelf 25.5-inch monitor that delivers outstanding performance. Multimedia features are plentiful on this stylish display, but you'll pay a premium for them.

HP w2558hc Black 25.5-Inch LCD Review - PCWorld

The W2558hc performed well in our image-quality tests, presenting sharp, readable text on black and white backgrounds alike. Text was quite easy to read even at 6 points; we didn't have to strain to see the lettering.

Displayed nice colors in tests

Lacks a VGA connection

This display offers impressive image quality and great features, including a card reader and built-in reading light.

HP w2558hc and Planar PX2611w

Are you looking to upgrade to a flat panel LCD monitor? Today we'll be reviewing two that are definitely easy on the eyes (though possibly not the budget), the HP w2558hc and the Planar PX2611w. Both have a lot to offer the discriminating user.

Perhaps you purchased a newer desktop that already has an LCD monitor, but it is too small and you want something bigger. Or, if you are like me, you have a laptop but want the ability to have a setup on your desk where the screen isn't so close to...

The W2558hc LCD monitor performed well in our image-quality tests

Displayed nice colours in tests, includes a built-in card reader

Lacks a VGA connection

Given the HP W2558hc's wealth of extras, its excellent image quality, and its distinctive design, US$549 might be a good deal for this well-rounded monitor after all.

HP w2558hc review

The design is the now-traditional, shiny HP bezel surrounded by a set-back silver frame - it's quite stylish, in a slightly heavy way. Physically, height adjustment is possible using an aggressively sprung stand and there's a limited tilt range, but no...

This HP w2558hc falls between two stools – it’s packed with extras, but they push the price into territory where this 25.5in panel is competing with 27in 1,920 x 1,200 models. If you don’t need or want the extra features, basic performance is only a...
