Beware if you intend to use multiple sources

I can't find any option to prevent power saving mode, which if you're listening LG, needs to be available in every monitor you build, some of us don't care if our monitor sucks a little more power if that's what it takes to make it work properly....

Beautiful display quality but a single poor design decision makes this monitor far less useful than it ought to be

Instead of physical buttons this monitor uses a touch or light sensitive buttons to change monitor settings including deciding which input source to use. This is all well and good if you have the PC or XBOX on, but as soon as the input is gone, the...

Just got this - upgraded from a 24"

All kidding aside, I replaced a much loved 24" monitor with this one and I do not regret my decision to make this move. It not only provides me with the screen real estate i need, it offers you RTS gamers out there (SC2 and the like) the ability to...

My quest began in the wee hours of late evening - the sun was a fresh crimson hue (well, the picture of the sun was anyway) and I was sold on this glorious thing they called a ... monitor ... yes, 27" was the halle grail (for me it was - just go with...

I have found no vices in her; she is most perfect in her beauty. Let no man cast a pixel asunder. The back-light of the morning provided a soft glow with which to bask in her illustrator glory

BB Led??

It has a two way stand@!@ pretty neat little add on. Also the base turns!

Great monitor (huge). Went from a 19" Samsung to this and let me say it was like night and day. No dead pixels. great mat screen (no-glare???) Oh and did I mention its LARGE

Some of the settings leave a little to be desired for but at this price I could hardly complain. Some would say the led back light is a bit spotty.... but I don't see what everyone is on about

Once set up and calibrated...

Again the base... when I pulled it from the box i was shocked at how flimsy/cheap it is. The circular rail for adjusting the monitor from side to side was p@@... this concern was alleviated though as soon as I snapped the monitor to the base and had it...

Thing is a beast. No idea what issues others had but i feel for you. When mine came I was worried due to the packaging just being the factory box and UPS being horrible sometimes that something would be wrong. Pleasantly the box was in great shape and...

CD is only good for one thing IMO. That is to sit in the drive so when I updated the device driver through Windows 7 device manager i had it manually look on the CD. Program on the CD failed so not sure on how I feel about that ; Base is also a slight...

Variable brightness top to bottom

Since this was unsatisfactory, I returned it and ordered a Samsung 23" LED monitor as a replacement. I've seen these in stores and I know they are good -- certainly far superior to the LG.

Very prompt shipping by Newegg (as usual). Good looking bright monitor, nice whites and blacks due to LED backlighting. But that's about all the good I have to say about it

I was very disappointed because the brightness varied enough from top to bottom that I couldn't focus on anything else on the screen. It was lighter at the bottom with a brightness gradient to darker at the top. I tried every setting possible, and...

Great monitor

I got this for 380$ bucks with the 10% off any LG product, and I am very satisfied with my purchase overall. I came from a 32" Sony Bravia, which is bigger than this, but that tv didn't handle 1080p very well (at 1080p everything was distorted and kind...

Sharp, clear, vibrant picture. Super thin, easy to put together, easy to swivel since the whole thing is VERY light and wont leave any scratch marks on your desk. Includes HDMI, DVI, and a headphone jack and it uses one of those thin and light dc cords...

As another reviewer said, the buttons are barely visible, meaning you will either have to be really good at guessing where the power button is on the monitor at night, or you will have to turn the light on in your room to power it on. Kind of annoying,...

27" LED Monitor

Nice picture overall. Easy to set up. Great at a distance- Would be great for movies in the bedroom or workout room

text is realllllly pooopy when used as a PC monitor unless you mount it 5 feet or so away. Gives a big headache when used as a monitor (HD5870)

Shock and Awe

Would be nice to have a built in camera but this is rare with any monitor. Thanks for making such a beautiful and quality product LG!

LED back lit, low power consumption, great contrast, sharp picture, accurate color, no dead pixels, well constructed, beautiful, huge!, sturdy stand, easel mode, tilt and swivel. This monitor is amazing! Well worth every penny spent. There is no light...

Maybe price. 400ish could be steep for some people. No up and down adjustment, however with a monitor this big no vertical adjustment is needed for me. Picture width and height cannot be adjusted when using HDMI. Also other features such as cinema mode...

brightness not consistent

I was hoping to get a monitor to replace my dead 30" Samsung, which I loved at 2560x1900 resolution. Unfortunately this resolution is no longer available; there are only 1920x1080 resolutions. I can understand this resolution for an HD display monitor,...

none; with the exception of the cons below, it does what a monitor is supposed to do. nothing exceptional

the brightness of the screen looks like a gradient from top to bottom, with the top being darker and the bottom being lighter. Very noticeable. Very annoying. Tried all kinds of settings, physical and software-wise with no improvement
