NEC-Mitsubishi MultiSync LCD1770NX

Despite nice features, the NEC-Mitsubishi LCD1770NX comes up short, due to middling image quality.

Excellent cable-feed system; integrated USB hub; handy joystick button for navigating the controls; highly adjustable for a 17-inch LCD; extendable warranty.

Mediocre image quality; expensive.

All the little details are in place, but the so-so image quality and the high price detract from its appeal.

NEC MultiSync LCD1770NX review

A stylish display that's well designed and a joy to use

Good range of adjustments ; Slimline design ; Dual inputs ; Great NaViSet controls

Bleached colour ; Poor viewing angles

The MultiSync 1770NX looks better than it is. The bleached colours and narrow viewing angles were disappointing

NEC MultiSync LCD1770NX

We've grown rather fond of NEC's range of flat-panel monitors; they're always stylish, well designed and a joy to use. However, we're not so sure about this latest model from the range

Good range of adjustments, Slimline design, Dual inputs, Great NaViSet controls

Bleached colour, Poor viewing angles

NEC MultiSync LCD 1770NX review

Given NEC's big reputation in the world of displays, it's perhaps surprising to see the company unveil an LCD screen that's diminutive in terms of both dimensions and price tag. The NEC MultiSync LCD 1770NX is a rare beast these days: a 17in model.

The NEC MultiSync LCD 1770NX is a capable if outwardly drab monitor. It's perhaps better suited to the office than home use.

NEC-Mitsubishi MultiSync LCD1770NX

This NEC MultiSync model forgoes any relatively useless additions like speakers, leaving an elegant looking screen with a minimalist silver surround.

This is a stylish monitor that suffers a little on the darkest screens, which might affect its performance for hardcore gamers, but for most other tasks it's a neat and tidy option.
