Outstanding Clarity

1280x1024 res. is best setting. Other settings are lousy at worst. Like looking through glasses after youve fried chicken. You can always adjust letters and icons in your display setting to make bigger.

Very sharp resolution and excellent control panel. Great space saver and power efficiency. 30% of power required for my previous CRT monitor. A worthy upgrade

Serves 2 PCs [Win98 & WinXP]. Software is more Win98 friendly. Trouble installing ColorControlPanel for WinXP. Weird. Display-gamma are overridden by NVidia Video Adapter software, but is ok. Controls are dependent on your Video Adapter

The Unadjustable Monitor

1) The ancient wisdom that quality is highly correlated with price is probably true with monitors. So if you want a high quality display, invest in one in the $300-400 range. But if you are willing to settle for mediocrity, get this one. 3) My sense is...

Inexpensive

The monitor display does not adjust properly, causing much difficulty and annoyance effectively viewing some websites, Word documents, pdf files or many other common applications can be viewed with ease. For example, it is hard to tell bold-face text...

Worked for a day

What are ya gonna do? I should have coughed for the Sony for $5 more. Sigh.

Fits my laptop pretty well. Quicker than the drive I replaced

Not very dependable apparently. Worked for one day and is now not detected by the BIOS even though it spins up when a CD is placed in it

Exactly what I wanted

I bought this for my second machine that I use mainly for mail and filtering incoming mail with pictures from friends.. I only ever send mail from my graphics machine hoping to reduce the risk of virus or trojan infections. It does all I want at a good...

It worked straight out of the box ; No dead or stuck pixels ; Clear and crisp colors without being over done ; Bright but not excessively so

Large screen at low price

when submitting a rebate make sure to make copies of everything.

Great display at low price. Worked out of the box. No dead pixels, great vivid image at high resolution. Rebates have been received, so they are valid

Behold the Brightness!

This was a great replacement for my old 15" LCD. There is an easy way to correct the brightness if you have an Nvidia card. Turn the brightness of the monitor to zero. And then use the Nvidia easy color correction setup. If it is still too bright,...

Great quality for a great price! Has a beautiful black plastic case with low profile buttons that do not stand out like most monitors. Has a cover on the back to hide the wires. The the bottom of the monitor stands about 4 inches off the desk at a very...

Only con is that this monitor is super bright. Which may not be a bad thing with age. The monitor this one replaced had grown very dim, so this could be a positive in the future

Samsung 920N

Nice display, reasonable price

Vertical line showed up 35 days after purchase. Had to call Samsung for replacement since it was beyond Newegg's 30day return policy. Refurbished replacement rumored to turn up in 7-14 business days. Not a big deal but annoying none the less

Recommend as an upgrade for a big monitor but get DVI option

Very bright screen with no broken pixels and controls are visible from not like the 710N predecessor

No DVI which should have been what I ordered

good price, good monitor

I bought this as a mistake, wanted a monitor with DVI. I put this one on my stepdaughter's computer and am very pleased with it. Needed to adjust the brightness to about half of the default setting. I ran it on my computer for a while to test it and...

Excellent price. Great picture for analog. Very bright, easy to adjust, nice simple design, colors and text look good. No dead pixels

No dvi (says so in the specs), no height adjustment
