Samsung S24A450bw LCD Monitor Review: Moderate Price, Flexible Design

The Samsung S24A450bw is a great bargain, if you can do without a few features. Despite its moderate price of $300, it landed near the top of the heap in the screen-quality tests we conducted for our latest roundup of 23- and 24-inch monitors.

Ergonomically flexible design ; Very good on-screen performance

Light on extra features

Though it has only basic connections, this 24-inch Samsung display is an appealing option that earned Very Good scores across the board.

Beautiful 1920x1200 monitor at a good price. Good colors. I purchased 6 of these for our two drafting workstations. The guys love them. At this price we can afford to get three monitors per user

Good Buy for the Price!

Everything said about the Samsung SME-2220 DVR Security system was true to the letter. Easy to install, easy to set-up and all the cameras worked well. I'm glad I waited until I found what I wanted and it was this system.

Good Monitor!

I have used this for gaming and web development, I am glad I bought it! my video card is a Asus GTX 560TI.

Large, supports 16:10, DVI. you can plug in a VGA and DVI and switch between them at anytime ; I use this for gaming. Rage, Counter-Strike: Source, Mass Effect 3, and Batman: Arkham City all look amazing on this monitor. I also watched Tron Legacy on...

I bought these because there was a 10 percent discount over the weekend on samsung monitors and I wanted the resolution. I looked at other 24 inch monitors with this resolution and this one was priced right and only seemed to be missing the HDMI or...

Resolution is great for everything! I didn't know how much a difference the extra vertical resolution would make over the now standard 1080 monitors, but having this side by side with one it is apparent while web browsing and working on documents how...

The only con I can really think of is the lack of inputs other than DVI and Dsub. I knew this when I settled on the monitor though so it's not like I wasn't expecting it

DO load the manual and educate yourself on the viewing angle solutions with this product, else you may be disappointed with your purchase.

Very inexpensive 8-bit IPS panel means full-color and 1920x1200 resolution means it's still a better resolution than the majority of the panels out there, yet at 24" the print scales up where my aging eyes can sit back from the monitor a little. Movies...
