Sony SDM-HS95P

Outstanding image quality sets this glossy-screen monitor above the rest.

Excellent image quality, Attractive design

Lack of physical adjustments

The Sony SDM-HS95P displays graphics beautifully on a glossy screen, and the easel-like stand looks striking. Height (and swivel) adjustment is all that's lacking.

Sony SDM-S95D

After having your hands on a digital camera, if you're like many, you likely can't stop clicking. Family portraits, candids, scenery, nothing's not photo-worthy to you! Of course, there's more to digital photography than snapping photos: you'll need to...

Ultra-thin bezel. Dual video inputs. Excellent text output

Lacks height adjustment. Does not support pivot rotation

The Sony SDM-S95D may not be the most flexible 19-inch LCD out there, but if good image quality and sleek lines are key, this monitor belongs on your short list.

Sony MFM-HT95

The Sony MFM-HT95 does a good job of taming the tangle of A/V components. But its image quality could have been better.

Incorporates analog A/V inputs and an integrated NTSC TV tuner. Thoughtfully designed remote control. Good contrast ratio.

Poor image uniformity. Screen technology best suited for light-controlled environments.

Sony SDM-HS95P/S

Eye catching design, XBRIGHT coating

Colors a little blue out of the box, a little expensive

Sony SDM-HS95P/S

Although this display lacks some of the extra features found on other displays, the HS95P/S is a bright and shiny, well designed, and good performing display.

Eye catching design, XBRIGHT coating.

Colors a little blue out of the box, a little expensive.

Straight out of the box, the display's colors were pleasing, but a bit on the blue side. Once calibrated, the grays became more neutral. Though touted as a benefit of XBRIGHT, the HS95P/S' viewing angle was not as good as some other displays we've...

Sony SDM-HS95P Review

An elegantly slim and simple LCD monitor with both analog and digital inputs and terrific image quality

Near the top of the high-priced spread; no pivot function; XBrite screen can be reflective

Like a growing number of desktop as well as notebook LCDs, the HS95P has a contrast- and clarity-boosting design that shows as glossy black instead of gray when switched off (what Sony calls XBrite). The drawback is catching an occasional glimpse of...

Sony SDM-HS95PS

Interesting design, anti-glare coating

Trailing was evident in motion blur tests, colours not displayed particularly well

This monitor didn't fare too well in our tests for motion blurring and it also struggled slightly in the colour tests. It did have the best viewing angles in the review though, as well as the best aesthetics, but these features aren't enough to justify...

Sony SDM-HS95P

Sony's SDM-HS95P TFT monitor is visually striking, featuring smooth curves and a graphite-toned easel stand that allows tilt adjustment. The monitor c...

Outstanding image quality, photos look stunning

Poor button layout, no DVI connector, no audio

This is a brilliant display for everyday use. Although it features only an analog (VGA) input, it produces clear, sharp images.
