Overall I am very impressed with this monitor.

As with anything, there are cons.

This montor has an (according to ViewEra's web site) 8-bit P-MVA panel.

Black isn't really black, but more like a dark gray due to the back light leaking through.

Amazing detail, color is great.

After about three weeks the screen would turn black and stay that way after showing the image for 3 seconds

Very High Detail. Very Bright

Can't actually display "black". This monitor's black is a dark grey. I do wish there was a Horisontal, and Vertical size ajust for fulscreen, and 16:9 devices (aka my 360). I do have a dead pixle. But thats what the warranty is for

The monitor is bright, and has a good contrast. It's also bigger than I thought, which is a plus. I played a movie on it, and it looked great, no ghosting. I like the resolution (1680x1050). When using non-native resolutions, the Scaling looks better...

Amazing detail, color is great. Can barely look at it at full brightness, but the image still is awesome. I spend a lot of time coding and with terminals, and this screen is incredibly easy on the eyes, even with small text

Apparently it has speakers built in. Wasn't really a consideration in buying it, nor should it be. They sound like someone is listening to an old radio down the hall. Work OK for occasional system sounds, but beyond that they really sound bad
