ViewSonic VP2250wb

The Viewsonic VP2250wb is a 22-inch display that delivers a bright, vibrant picture with good color fidelity.

Wide color gamut. Highly adjustable. Good overall image quality.

Poor vertical viewing angle performance. USB ports hard to reach. Slightly weak grayscale performance.

Review: ViewSonic VP2250wb LCD monitor

ViewSonic's VP2250wb is a fine, affordable multimedia and general-purpose display. But color professionals and those who often collaborate with co-workers may want to look elsewhere for a display with better viewing angles,

Images look good once the display is calibrated ; Good response time

Out-of-the-box settings are inaccurate ; Limited viewing angles

Setup was straightforward. We connected the VP2250wb to our Mac Pro via the DVI port using the included cable. The display can tilt forward and back and has up and down height adjustment. There’s no ability to pivot into portrait mode, but we usually...

Viewsonic VP2250wb

A 22in LCD monitor for CAD and graphic design professionals.

Great horizontal viewing angels, matte coat, good colour reproduction, dynamic contrast ratio has its merits for consumer use

Too many consumer-focused features to be professional, USB ports are hard to reach, some tearing in fast motion, reds are over-saturated

Viewsonic's VP2250wb is a compromise between a consumer 22in monitor and a professional quality display. While it does a good job in most regards it still won't cut it for professionals, who will need to stick with IPS panel monitors.

ViewSonic VP2250wb LCD display

Not all flat-panels are created equal

Amazing colour, Dynamic Contrast control, great response time

No HDMI, awful viewing angle

The ViewSonic VP2250wb has many good points, not least its top-quality colour palette. However, at this price, we expect more the viewing angle issues in particular are not impressive. It's fine if you work alone, but for bustling offices the viewing...

ViewSonic VP2250wb 22in Monitor

ViewSonic's 22in VP2250wb claims to cater to the professional graphics market, but can a TN panel really offer enough to entice?

With the VP2250wb, ViewSonic has designed a monitor that falls short of the high expectations its marketing might suggest, since slight colour shift and bad backlight bleed means professionals may be better off looking elsewhere. But if you are a...

ViewSonic VP2250wb monitor

With a visible area of 21.6 inches, the ViewSonic VP2250wb comes with a simple black surround, making it clear that the VP range is aimed at professionals, hence the "P" in the title. As a home user, you'd probably think it was rather bland as there is...

Highly adjustable, four USB ports, great colour

No speakers

Overall, the ViewSonic VP2250wb gives an excellent quality image and will satisfy those looking for good colour capabilities. The monitor is stable and widely adjustable which we like. The overall design leaves a little to be desired, but as a work...

ViewSonic VP2250wb

While it's definitely not a professional monitor as claimed, as an all-purpose monitor ViewSonic's VP2250wb does well, offering a step up within the 22-inch space.

Good colour coverage ; Sturdy base ; Good manoeuvrability

Response time accelerator is useless above default value

The VP2250wb can be found online for between AU$520 and AU$600. While it's definitely not a professional monitor, as an all-purpose monitor it does well, offering a step up within the 22-inch space.
