ViewSonic VX2835wm

Itching for a big monitor but don't want to spend over $1,000? ViewSonic offers their 28-inch VX2835wm LCD costing less than $700. Is it a steal, or do you get what you pay for?

Great price. Component and composite inputs. Comes with DVI-to-HDMI cable. Very bright.

HDMI input is poorly placed. Gamma curve is off. No USB ports or side inputs. Lackluster on-screen display menus.

ViewSonic VX2235wm 22 Monitor

Relatively inexpensive; built-in speakers; stylish design.

Mediocre performance; height not fully adjustable; limited video connectivity.

The Viewsonic VX2235wm isn't the best performer and it's not packed with extras, but it's worth a look, thanks to its size and relatively low price.

Monsoon Multimedia Hava Wireless HD

Is Sling about to be outslung? We like to reward innovation, and there's no question that Sling Media popularized the concept of location-shifting TV with the original Slingbox. In fact, we awarded the new Slingbox Pro a nine verdict in our February...

Component video input and pass-through; slick multicast and PVR features

Setup can be complicated and awkward; only one IR blaster port

But when you’re talking about being able to watch TV anywhere, there’s nothing quite like watching a ballgame on your smart phone, and that’s where Sling still has a major edge: Monsoon demonstrated this feature for us, but the software wasn’t...

Viewsonic VX2035WM

We get rough and heavy with Viewsonic's VX2035WM 20-inch LCD monitor. Where's the HDCP, guys?

Decent overall performance

Blotchy backlight; lacks ergo adjustments

If you’re planning to upgrade to an HD DVD or Blu-ray drive in the near future, the VX2035wm might not be the best choice of monitor, as it lacks support for HDCP (high-definition copy protection). This means your efforts to play commercial HD discs...

ViewSonic VX2835wm monitor Review and Prices

We can sum up the ViewSonic VX2835wm in a single word: big. It's also budget-friendly, although it's not necessarily a good value.

Large display, fast response time, good selection of video inputs

Poor stand design, limited adjustment options, poor color accuracy

ViewSonic VX2235wm-5 LCD Monitor - HardwareZone.com

Housed in a sleek glossy exterior is the 22-inch Viewsonic VX2235wm-5 whose slim frame belies its powerful performance. Promising an ultra-fast 2ms panel response time and a 4000:1 contrast ratio, we got our hands on one to see if it delivers.

ViewSonic VX2835wm LCD Monitor

The VX2835wm offers a lot of screen real estate, but issues with HDMI connectivity, detailing in extreme dark and bright areas, and price may turn away some users.

Good connectivity options; simple OSD menus; good color

Details tend to vanish in very dark or very bright areas; pricey; would not display at native resolution when connected to computer via HDMI

Double your display real estate by adding a second monitor. It's a snap: Here's how

ViewSonic VX2835WM Review

The VX2835 is also not the entertainment screen we hoped it'd be. That's not to say it was bad, but we recommend you buy a 24-inch monitor based on a true 8-bit panel to really add sparkle to your visual experience. This is only for you if you really...
