ViewSonic VX724

The $329 ViewSonic VX724 introduces the company's new Amplified Impulse technology, which overdrives the LCD panel's electronics to produce faster transitions between shades of gray. In theory, accelerated gray-to-gray transitions reduce ghosting and...

Nice-looking text

Tilt is the only physical adjustment

I liked the look of the VX724's stand, a hollowed-out, matte-silver rectangle that sets off the black bezel. I was disappointed, however, that it provided only tilt adjustment, the minimum for ergonomics and usefulness. The VX724's most pleasing...

In spite of its superfast response time, it's a decent but unspectacular monitor.

Good text display quality

Lack of physical adjustability

ViewSonic VX724 - 4ms 17in TFT monitor

One for the gamers here as ViewSonic hits the 4ms response time marker. But life isn't all a game.

The ViewSonic VX724 doesn’t handle colours with the finesse I demand, nor is it the most feature-rich, but it's certainly a monitor that stands out in the value stakes - especially when so many users are currently looking for an LCD with a fast...

Viewsonic - VX724

Viewsonic's VX724 is, given the current pricing climate of the 17-inch TFT screen market, not likely to be a particularly strong impulse buy. With other displays starting at under £100, the VX724's price tag of more ...

This is a superb 17-inch display that finds Viewsonic on top of its game. The price is the area that's likely to cause the most contention, but - here it comes! - you really do get what you pay for, especially for gaming and DVD movie playback.

Great Monitor

Keep up the great work newegg!

Great monitor. Bought it after reading great reviews on newegg to replace/upgrade 15" Pixo. Outstanding delivery times and outstanding products from newegg, my only hardware supplier

No cons on this great monitor

Not bad at all.

This is my first LCD, so if some ghosting is normal, then my rating should be a 5-star! but anyway, in Windows, and only in Windows (with the latest drivers), i do notice ghosting, mainly on the Internet Explorer buttons. i'm sure my colors have a lot...

Crystal clear, crisp image. Sharp. Sleek design, nice cable management. Games run excellent

Ghosting in windows! read below

Poor Warranty Service

Very clear displays. Only 1 (level 3 - red always on) bad pixel between 3 new monitors

Out of box failure. Beware: Warranty is handled by Viewsonic directly (not Newegg). Customer service rep handled RMA incorrectly. +3 weeks and I still do not have replacement. Conflicting explainations from customer service. No ability to talk with...

ViewSonic X Series VX724 Black-Silver 17" 3ms gray-to-gray (avg.); 6ms white-black-white (typ) LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 500:1

nice bright monitor

was unable to register the product online because of the old expiration date offered which would have voided my warantee immediately-no response from viewsonic-no help from newegg

Dead pixel. Manufacture only replaces at 5+ dead pixels

Dead pixel policies are just a way to get around sticking to the warranties. Put a little blue dot on your screen and see waht you think after a few minutes of game play.

Great picture ; Great contrast ; Awesome response

LCD had 1 dead pixel. Viewsonic will only replace after 5 dead pixels because under 5 is considered acceptable. I do not consider 1 acceptable

EXCELLENT!! while it works....

Great deal, hope you have better luck with yours than i did with mine.

Insane visual quality, for both gaming and media editing. Refreshrate is very nice and the 17" size makes it great for toting to LAN parties, NO DEAD PIXELS

After about 2 months of ownership, it seemed to just... DIE... I is some sort of a problem with the back light. It will be on for a fraction of a second, everything crystal clear like new, but then it just all goes dark, nothing at all, only the green...
